What seems to convert better when promoting a Picture and Video site, Pics or Videos?

I've been having better luck with videos lately. But that's only speaking for my traffic, which is mainly search engine and blogging traffic. Have you tried posting some test pages, one with videos and another with pic galleries to see what your surfers respond to the most?

Featuring both type of formats on my sites, I am having much better results with picture contents than video contents.
