Cookie expiration?

Well I have struck up a deal with another webmaster who is nice enough to work off my ref program. I use ccbill and was wondering what whould I use for cookie expiration? For pps I have it set for 3 days. But this WM would also like to get revshar. Which I'm sure could be set up but I think the cookie has to be set to allot longer. Any ideas how to set that up correctly as to not screw shit up? thank Jugg.

Store bought cookies have a greater shelf life due the additives. Homemade cookies get stale within a couple of days, depending on storage conditions.

Isn't CCBill in charge of their cookie? I didn't think that sites using them as processor have any control over the sales tracking cookie.

You can set how long they are good for in CCBill's webmaster's control panel. I have them set for 30 days for FoxyAngel but I've heard that there are other limiting factors as well.

Thats what concerns me. I mean if the customer come to the site and purchases a show all is good so the ref can get their $. But if the customers computer is set to delete the cookie or they do it themselves then the ref will not get paid for any revshare as there is now way to track the person. Or is there?

If you want to pay affiliates for customers that return and buy addtional shows you'll need to save the affiliate ID along with the customer username, then reset the cookie whenever they login in.
