Sponsor links and mouseovers
What has been your experience with sponsor advertisements and using mouseovers to hide your referral code?
Do you find visitors more eager to click on a link when they don't see referral coding in it? |

I would think that you will get more clicks using a mouseover showing karas.com rather then maximumcash.com/refer ect ect

I use mouseovers to hide sponsor code. Not sure if it works but I know that's the way I would prefer the see a link if I was the surfer.

I've used mouseovers for years. Most places will post galleries with mouseovers provided they are done correctly.

A woman is like beer. They look good, they smell good, and you'd step over your own mother just to get one!

I've done it both ways, hiding the code or not, and as far as I can tell, it doesn't make a whole lot of difference. I really don't think the surfers pay that much attention to the status bar, they see something they like and BAM...click it.
Personally I quit adding all that extra code a couple years ago cause it's just more work and I am basically lazy. Make an eye catching ad and they never see the codes.

I hide the code with the domain name as ramster.
It's mostly habit now. |
