Banner Placement Question...
Hello All...
I'm looking for some opinions on banner placements. I use phpadsnew to manage my banner rotations on my sites. I know this is ideal for my toplists and link lists, but I'm wondering if maybe a static solution would be better for the free sites that I build. So, for free sites, do you think rotating banners are better or static banners? Rotating banners give the surfer more variety, but I'm concerned they may like the look of the sponsor on the gallery page, go check out a pic and click back with the intention of visiting my sponsor. With the rotation system, the same banner won't be there and I could potentially loose the sale. I'm thinking that static is the way to go in this instance, but I would like to know your thoughts on this... Thanks Mandy

I don't use banners. I use text. Both static and dynamic.
Static seems to work best most of the time. |

I think you've answered your own question very well. I agree that a static banner on a free site would be much better than a rotated one for the very reason you stated.
I would definitely go with static, and build a different free site for each of the sponsors you want to push |

Text links are always a must have IMM because so much of the software that surfers use now just filters out banner ads.
