Jays XXX Links Publishes Sponsor Stats

Jays XXX Links is now one of the top 5 adult link sites according to Alexa. I have grown tremendously and have had the opportunity to promote a number of different sponsor programs.

Often, I get hit up by webmasters asking for advice on what earns me money and which programs to push. Spending so much time on ICQ greatly cuts into my quality time at the Pink Pony. Rather than spend hours on each inquiry, only to not even deliver the factually correct information; I have assembled this helpful chart of what programs convert for me.

These are the sum of my 2004 stats, totally uninfluenced by business / sponsor politics, as they are presented to me by Revstats.

I spent a lot of time on this page, so if you find this information helpful, please be a respectful and sign up under me. Aside from time saved, that’s all I have to gain from this.

Yeah - Sunny Dollars and Extreme Paychecks are both quality programs.

Both take a little tinkering to find which sites to push, but once you find what works with your traffic, you are golden.

I'm not trying to be a party-pooper here, and I've no axe to grind with Jay, but therein lies both the value and insignificance of other peoples' stats.

All sites are unique - as are their traffic and their conversions.

More than that, conversions differ between pages, and positions within pages, on a given site.

It's a noble effort, but it's of limited value.

And that applies to GG's stats too.

The Staistician was a good idea but it suffered from the same central flaw (among others) - it's horses for courses.

eman - no need to apologize

My thinking, as far as my stats, has always been that:
1 - people always asked me what was doing good & what wasn't
2 - people submit sites to me, so they want to know what's working with my traffic

I look at Jay's in the same light

The Statistician, on the other hand, is another subject - one good thing I will say about it is that it forced me to properly spell thestatistician.com because I never remembered to bookmark it

I got one of those today! From one of LORs banned sponsors.. (feel free to say I told you so)

Actually I didn't get notice... I finally bothered to setup my payee details a week or so ago... then yesterday I suddenly couldnt log in... so I emailled them and I got this back "I believe it was for 100% charge backs"

This was a second account I was mainly sending to their hosted galleries from... so I would have liked to know if these charged back sales came from clicks off the galleries or from my sites... if it's me doing something dumb to create chargebacks with my adverts Id like to know... if it's from their gallery pages I dont give a rats ass and am more than happy to move on as they will be going broke with general traffic creating chragebacks like that from clicks on advertising they prepared inhouse anyway imho.

The account had done 7:2200 over a few months... so its not a kings ransom but having 100% chargebacks is pretty amazing I would think... I respect their right to say no thanks.. but it feels more like a "fuck you" at this end. If they suspect I am cheating I would understand no effort to notify me first.. but that doesnt seem to be the issue at all... it appears to be that they just dont give a fuck. (feel free to say I told you so again here)

Anyway, if guerilla traffic thinks similar tactics to that are ok.. I wont be trying them.

Really useful! Looks like that stats publishing idea is spreading, I recently saw 2 or 3 posts about stats on other boards... that's great, the more information we have to deal with, the bigger the chance we have to make money off sponsors!

GT does have the best numbers for me.

The problem with them is that, when they started, their sites converted, but the members areas sucked. They were paying out $35 a trial and nobody was converting to full members.

They tried the same thing on me that they did GG, except I told them that it's not my problem their members areas suck and they ought to work on that.

I do know they ave made a lot of progress toward an improved members area. I always get my checks on time in full from them. I can say that.

GT might have been off to a rough start but they are improving every day.

Hey John, speaking of click numbers. Any chance of having your stats show frontpage raw clicks so anyone can see that extremepaychecks counts correctly.... rather than only showing second page uniques (under a column heading that says RAW) like the scammer programs always have.

Let's do this first, you dont know me personally so refer to me as Extreme John, not John... People I know and I get along with call me John, your currently not either one of those, especially when referring in a very general way to Extreme Paychecks anywhere in the same sentance as the term scammer program, they dont go hand in hand and Ill assume you wont make that mistake again.

In brief because I already addressed this issue with you:

1) We will not count 1st page clicks at this point in time because we are developing software that will show clicks for each individual page, regardless of that, we have very basic tours in most cases one single page, or even in the case of 2 pages we have tons of "tricky" style links for surfers or potential buyers to click on, we find it very agressive in nature and thats why we choose to go with second page counting.

2) There's plenty of programs that count the same exact way that we do, there's nothing wrong with it, unless your hiding it, we have never hid it and we never will, plain and simple.

If it's that upsetting to you Opti, than the only thing I could suggest is that you continue searching for a sponsor that gives you everything you want, we never said we would be all things to all people, perhaps we simply arent a match for you Opti.

You push your conversion ratio rates as a selling point so you make it an issue.

Your own stats say RAW over the count column. If you are so honest with everyone why leave that there? (and it has been pointed out before on the boards)

You staff responses to email questions about count numbers make it sound like they are sick of covering for you.

Nothing you said is any reason why you can't display a TRUE click count for webamsters... you simply choose not to.... Using it as selling point all the time is close to fraud imho.

It is common for programs that like to shave hits to not display a raw hit count for webmasters.

Will you please do it? Nothing you have said is any technical reason not to... if you wish to use second page uniques as your standard to comapre affiliates thats fine.. but an extra column showing us what you count as us sending isnt too much to ask of an honest open program owner is it?
