Opinions and advice ?
Hi everyone
I'm not a very active poster, but I read almost everything in here with great interrest. I run 2 small linklists (won't stay small forever I hope ), a bunch of TGP's and just recently started making freesites as well. I have read a lot of great posts about making good freesites, and I have tried implementing all the tips and tricks - like making sure my site fits 800x600 resolution, not naming my main and gallerypages "main.html" and "gallery1.html" (better SEO) - trying to make my textlinks in a way, so they are not considered blind, etc. etc. Besides getting some general feedback on the quality of the site and any errors you spot - I also have a question: I am using 2 x 10 sponsor pictures, and one "bonus" gallery using my own purchased content. This last gallery is to both add some "uniqueness" (is that even a word??) to the site, and to get a chance to promote my new bbw directory www.chubby-chaser.com a bit more. Is that a bad idea? And is it a bad idea to make the bonusgallery design fit my bbw site instead of the actual freesite? Anyway, here's the link - I only uploaded one folder for now, just to show the recips in place as well: http://www.chubby-chaser.com/free/ch...oobs/bbw-pics/ Thanks in advance |blowkiss| |

I'd say you've read quite a bit, and absorbed it very well...nice site
I'd list that one in a hot second To your question about the 'bonus gallery'. Don't really think it can hurt anything...does offer the surfer an option. Though that option may take away a bit from your primary sponsor. Opinions vary on pushing 2 sponsors in the same niche on the same free site. The whole 'how can site A be sooo good if you're offering me site B too?' train of thought. Personally, when I want to add a 2nd sponsor to a free site...I'll make it something completely different. Something to perhaps shock the surfer into being curious about that 2nd sponsor site. Just a bit of food for thought Again though...very nicely done on the site! |

You can now put whatever you want in this space :)

Nice site Maya.
I see nothing wrong in linking to yourself as long as you follow the 3 outlink rule, even if that link goes to a different domain that the one your free site is on.

MrYum and Halfdeck, thanks a lot - nice to hear
To plateman - the domain is hosted on a server located in Holland. Before all this 2257 stuff I considered getting some hosting in the US, but since I live in Europe where the rules aren't that strict, I desided to stick with my danish and dutch hosting. Seemed less of a hassle with my thumb TGP's etc. I hope that won't be a problem, not being hosted at one of the wellknown companies .. ? |

Took the hint.

The site is pretty good (although to be fair, I see about 100 sites a week with that same general template, so it isn't really unique). No real issues I can see.
However, the "bonus" content you are listing is very much overused, having been part of a content blowout special a while back that everyone and his dog seemed to buy (including me). You may find that you end up with sites getting rejected because the content you use to add "uniqueness" is in fact overused. Just a thought... Alex |
