About Pinging
Word Press has the feature build in that you can ping several aggregators whenever you post. However I've heard that some places only take a ping every 30 minutes and some are even an hour.
Does anyone know for sure? Also, does it only ping when you make the initial post or does it ping when you edit your post as well?

I posted the first 10 stories at the same time and Feester returned the ping on pingomatic with “domain is a known ping spammer” And I remember Pingomatic said something like “slow down cowboy…”
I am sure they ping on edit post, but don’t think it counts.

Some of them will blacklist you if you're pinging more than once or twice/day. I got blacklisted at the biggest aggregator when I first set up my rss feed and was running it repeatedly fixing bugs. As far as I know, I'm still blacklisted there.

Weblogs blacklisted one of my sites the first time I pinged with Pingomatics for absolutely no reasons.
