Looks like a lot of the buildings there are only wood frame unlike where I live where they are all cement block.

new orleans dodged the bullet! But it just hit Al and Fl so hard! This was my first hurricane and I hated it! I think earthquakes are so much easier to handle.
Hope everyone else who was in this is ok.
Cleo how is your house?

That hurricane didn't affect where I live at all. In fact the weather has been very nice and I've had the top out of my car for over a week.

Tree people will finally be here tomorrow to tell me when they can actually do the work.

Roof people will be here next Wednesday to tell me when they can actually do the work.

I should have a ballpark figure of what I'm looking to spend both for hurricane damage and my additional work in a day or so.

My issuance company came out and I should hear how much I'm getting from them in a week or so.

I went looking at new appliances for my new kitchen today which has nothing to do with the hurricane damage.

Last I heard, in our area the winds had reached reached between 130-140. We're 50 miles from the gulf, but it didn't seem to matter at all here. There's alot of trees that were ripped completely from the ground, ones that were atleast 100 foot tall and quite a few years old. Transformers blew left and right, it was a huge light show dureing all that! But I feel far worse for the people in Pensacola (and surrounding areas) and Dauphin Island...which that island is under water right now so I've heard.
