Stupid risks make life worth living

There's something to be said for blocking hotlinkers
I know a lot of people who still don't block hotlinkers in this day and age. I don't know how you can afford not to.
Check out this GIF. I recently moved servers and didn't have all my .htaccess properly configured yet until last night. Check out the decrease in my bandwidth - all from leeching fucks!!!! |raygun| http://www.phatbucks.com/linux.gif

Internet! Is that thing still around?

Unfortunately, most people don't realize they're being hit by hotlinking until it's too late. Certain control panels, have hotlinking protection built in, to help avoid these problems, but it's always best to configure your .htaccess before bringing a site live.

Hotlinkers can be a problem and adding them to your .htacces is the right thing to do.
