Jill Stein

I don't like Obama or Romney, but what about Jill Stein? Everything I see of her is for the poor, and working class, which is awesome, but what about us? Is she anti us, or is it ok for adults to live an adult life.

I would like to hear your opinions on her.

There is a third party? Being outside the US I was under the impression that America was solidly two party!

Unless you vote for either Obama or Romney you are basically throwing your vote away.

Personally I'm voting for Obama.

I am not American so I can't vote but I agree with Cleo. What I wanted to write was there are two parties in the U.S. that call themselves Green Parties and I find that very confusing. Green Party USA vs the Green Party of the United States ... huh?

If you can't decided there's always Rosanne Barr. She's always making us laugh ... even now.

Cleo, that's the establishment talking, the status qoe. Well I am sick and tired of those bastards. I vote my conscious, anything less, and it would be my fault that my vote don't count.

ecchi there are several parties here, the problem it that no one likes the Democrats or Republican choices, but everyone is too scared to take a chance on anything less then the worst of two evils.

Well I for one can say it dosn't matter if Romney or Obama get in, both of them will fuck us. So the only thing I can do is maybe help someone real get in.

I'd just like to know a little more about her before I start putting my all behind her. At this point She has my Vote, but will I campaign, is the real question.

As sad as it may seem, a vote for a 3rd party candidate is just a wasted vote and often screws things up if you look at the election as a whole.

If you're a Liberal & you vote for Ralph Nadar, you really just taking a vote away from Obama & helping Romney. And vice versa using Ron Paul & the Conservative angle.

In the last Florida governor election I didn't like either of the two main candidates so voted for an independent candidate as did my partner.

The candidate that I liked the least won by a thin margin. If I had to do it over I would have voted for the candidate that I disliked the least instead of throwing my vote away on the independent. It may not have been my first choice but at least it may have helped preventing the really bad candidate for winning that we are now stuck with.

Obama passed a mandatory unapportioned tax: mandatory health insurance. Now 40% of my food last year was from food lines, but even if I go 100% dependent on food lines, I still will not have enough to pay Obama's mandatory insurance. Blank Obama.

So that leaves Romney, the man that wants adult gone, wants to make us responsible for every kid that hacks into our content. The Pentagon can't keep the kids from hacking them, how can we? So Romney wants to take my only hope of ever making an honest living away from me. Blank Romney.

So with the choice of two, let's see, with Obama I have to go on Welfare, with Romney I go to jail. What kind of fucked up choices are those. I vote to end the lessor of two evils, my vote goes to ending this fucked up game. Yes I care that I can't win, but I'll be dammed if I wont at least try.

Cleo, they always win by a thin margin, anything more and it would remove any smidgent of a doubt left, that they cheat the polls.

But we are digressing from my question, Jill Stein, is she anti adult?

Jill Stein is not anti adult, the Green Parties world wide are anti censorship. I was elected as International Secretary for the Green Party of Canada a few years back and I was very public about what I did for a living. Nobody in the Party had a problem with it.

How do you pay for your medical care now if you get sick?

Low income individuals and families above 100% and up to 400% of the federal poverty level will receive federal subsidies[19] on a sliding scale if they choose to purchase insurance via an exchange (those at 150% of the poverty level would be subsidized such that their premium cost would be of 2% of income, or $50 per month for a family of four).

I believe the only time where a third party really disrupted things was Ross Perot, running as an Independent(?) in '92 and took 18% of the popular vote (though, due to our electorial college system, received 0 electrorial votes).

It is thought that his 18% killed (elder) Bush's chance and led to a Clinton victory.

Sheep-Guy, Thank you! Didn't know that about Green. Relieves a lot of concern. Still like to know more about the candidate herself. And Canada vs US is a lot of difference. Canada is more, everyone knows you, like Small Town USA. I ran for Mayor, and one in such a small town. No one outwardly liked my Adult... but they all Loved and appreciated me, the person.

Cleo, Mostly I rely on herbal, but I am a Veteran if I really need it. However low income families.. I'm not a family, I'm single, and will probably stay that way for life. Who knows. Regardless, to get that you have to give up everything you ever worked for. I may not have an address, etc. anymore, but I haven't given up on life enough to let go of the things that I cherish more then my life. Disability is hard, but I'm not a quitter, and I don't like hurtles thrown in front of me.

cd34, Ross Perot would have done a lot better if he hadn't dropped out then came back. And I'd bet Clinton's balanced budget had a lot to do with the political parties fearing that someone could be as strong as Perot was before he dropped out.
