Attn: Migrated WMS CCBill Sponsors. Your aff. webmaster join buttons are fuxored!

I have no idea why CCBill did not notify anyone of this. I just found out last night after a couple new affiliates emailed me that they could not join.

Try to sign up to a CCBill site that has migrated to the new WMS.

You will notice that the link 404's.

You can get it to work by replacing "internal" with "admin" in the url.

I did a test signup and it appears to work.

However this was my first trip inside the new affiliate WMS. What a nightmare IMO.

It seems like it has plenty of features but I can't find a dam thing. Only one of my sites appears to show up. (BeachModel.Com) and if I search for other sponsors the search always comes back ZERO RESULTS!

Are there any sponsors out there that have switched to using the new WMS?

And I mean switched as in having their tools set up using this new link code structure?

I'm about to throw in the towel but unfortunately YOU CANT MIGRATE BACK!!!

argh...

Hey BV,

I added a Nasty Solo Girl link on my site a few weeks ago. I checked it just after reading your post.

It's not going 404 on me.

Correct, that is not an issue.

Webmaster join buttons 404.

So right now, every sponsor that migrated to WMS can not accept any new affiliates unless they edit the url after it 404's. (which none of them will know to do that)

Unless we tell them.

But most sponsors don't know because CCBill didn't tell us.

for example try to sign up to trixies program as I know she migrated based on the other WMS thread here.

http://webwhorebucks.com/signup.htm

same with both of mine:

http://www.bvbucks.com/sign_up.php & http://www.bvcash.com/signup.php

Check around, you will find more. If you find one that works, that means they have not migrated yet.

Update:

After several calls and chats CCBill programmers have finally fixed the 404 problem.

However, if you notice, the legacy sign up page is now gonzo. The page that loads now is for the new WMS system.

This means that all CCBill programs that were migrated to WMS can only accept new affiliates into the new WMS system. The new affiliate id numbers being assigned can only use the new WMS linking codes and are not compatible with the old (Legacy) link codes.

As of 5 days ago that was not the case. Even though my program was migrated to the WMS I was still taking on new affiliates into the old Legacy system and was still using my existing tools coded for that system.

So now I have to scramble over the next few days and get a whole new set of tools coded for the new WMS link code structure. Which some of you know is a totally new and DIFFERENT type of link code which doesn't even contain the same webmaster id number that is assigned during the sign up process.

I would also like to reiterate that all the old link codes that are out there will still work and track and this problem is only affecting any new affiliates that sign up.

The problem that I have with this is that the only thing that a new affiliate is going to get when they sign up is a basic link code to the tours. And the only way that they are going to get them is from CCBill's WMS admin. (if they can figure out how) Because let me tell you that it is a lot different than the old Legacy admin.

What I am afraid of is if new webmasters try to insert their new WMS affiliate ID into the old style Legacy link codes. I have been told that they will not work.

And all of this happened without notice and was not disclosed when us sponsors decided to migrate to the new WMS.

I hope that this has been an informative post for those affected and are in my same situation.

I also have been promised to receive a call tomorrow in the AM from CCBill's head programmer of the new WMS system and I will keep you posted of the outcome.

Best Regards,
BV

It sounds like this WMS thing is a nightmare. I think we'll stay "old fashioned" until it's all fixed.

Why any company let alone one such as ccbill would release such an important update without debugging it on test servers first is beyond me. There lack of professionalism is staggering.

Once bug reports began coming in they should have rolled back to the original system immediately to debug the new release in an effort one to avoid all of this controversy. As for their programmers, they should be dragged out and shot for not telling ccbill to debug the new release on test servers in the first place.

Basic programming 101. When you work in the real world, test every eventuality before releasing it!

I'm glad I found this thread after seeing the latest on GFY.

All I can say is I'm really angry. REALLY REALLY ANGRY. And we can't afford to maintain two half-assed affiliate programs. CCBill still hasn't even fixed the old problems we've been having FOR MONTHS NOW and they just have to keep fucking shit up worse. I don't have time to revamp our whole sponsor site, etc. or try to deal with the wms admin which is slower than a vat of frozen constipated turds, confusing and stupid. Like all of the old unhelpful stupid multiplied exponentially.

I am beyond the ability to be diplomatic about this now. MONTHS OF BULLSHIT and what looks like more of the same coming down the pipe. I need to pay more attention to our members, not work my ass off trying to make up for ccbill's mistakes.

Yeah, but just the fact that you are up like I am in the middle of a Saturday night doing their job(s) for them is just . . . not okay to me.

Because my paycheck problems/them fucking our affiliates and all of that mess that started in early December (which is connected to WMS and piled on other early problems with that which I won't bore people with, but I'm assuming you read my post with WEEKS of bullshit back and forth with their customer service about our affiliates not being paid) aren't completely resolved this is only the most recent in a litany of complaints. As the years have gone by (since 2002) the standards for ccbill have gotten lower and lower -- it's easy for them to stay the best 3rd party processor so I think the bar on the service they provide just gets lower and lower and lower. I feel like they're doing the bare minimum and that nobody we peons talk to has a sense of ownership or feeling of responsibility or commitment to anything except doing just enough to keep their jobs.

I should be on our voyeur cams sucking some cock right now making myself and my girlfriend and members happy instead of trying to figure out how to squeeze in redesigning our whole affiliate program because CCBill is doing a half-assed job.

Well, again, I feel for you. Thank god I don't have to suck any cock to keep my members happy. :-)

But I have had the same exact issues.

Only about 150 of us decided to migrate to the WMS system. Only 150 out of thousands and thousands of CCBill programs are having to deal with this. Granted we did not know what ramifications of such a switch would hold in store for us. But we all wanted better and more advanced features so we did it.

At first I was a bit overwhelmed with all of it. (stiill am slightly) But I feel way better about the whole situation now because CCBill has been very helpful, forthcoming and receptive to my questions and concerns.

It's not going to be that hard for you to fix your tools and links to get them to work with WMS style link codes.

It all seems overwhelming at first but believe me it's not that big a deal and what you will have afterwards is worth it.

The more you fight it the worse it will be. Embrace it. Fix it. Make it work. Be happy and get back to sucking cock knowing that your affiliates have some of the best (3rd party) tracking and tools out there.

You have to get the right help & support from CCBill. They are more than willing to help with the transition and learning curve. The more you learn about the system the easier it will be.

Everyone wanted campaign tracking and all these other features, now we have it. It's really a pretty neat and robust system. I like it more and more every day.

If you want some step by step help on what you need to do I can help you with that. Just hit me up. 119968011
