Best quantity of sponsors/sites for blogs

I like the looks of blogs that use one sponsor, or even one site as it makes the content more uniform. But are you better off using multiple sponsors? I've only done a few blogs and tend to throw everything that fits the niche out there, but I'm not sure if this is the best way to go. Just wanted to get some ideas on the best usage of sponsors in blogs.

Well, i usually use 2-3 similar sites on one blog. They can be from the same sponsor or from the different ones. It works for me

I use 2-3 niche sponsors + IM popup (from webcam program DaysDreamsCash) on their blogs

I'll usually build a blog promoting a single sponsor in the posts. I'll then have banners for that sponsor in the sidebars. Along with a same-niche webcam/dating banner or two in the sidebars. And finally, an off-niche 'general appeal' sponsor banner (usually CFNM) at the bottom of the sidebar, and in the footer of the page.

This way, all the google juice goes to the primary site/sponsor that the blog is built for, and the banners get accompanying clicks. The off-niche banners are to capture people who stumbled upon my blog and didn't find what they're looking for.

IE, I got a couple sales to DancingBear via banners in the footer on my voyeur & celeb blogs.

I usually start a blog off with 6-8 sponsors and then whittle them down to 2-3 when I see what's going to convert best with my given terms.

For the build / submit / forget type of blogs you build, this is probably good advice but there are some bloggers who write more than 11 posts and call it a blog.

In my opinion, if your building a blog your going to add to on a continuing basis, a single sponsor is difficult. Besides getting harder to write for, the blog itself tends to get stale.

If your building that type of blog, then you need a bit of variety.

I think you probably misused the term here as I personally don't want any of my "google juice" going to the sponsor/site. I want all that juice for myself.

I do want the "google love" I get going there.
