TGP scripts for sponsor hosted galleries.
I did a search for tgp scrpits, and jbm's tgpx comes up a lot. Seems to have lots of satisfied customers.
What I am wanting to do though is incorporate a gallery section in my site which users can visit without leaving my site. I would like the template to have the same look and feel as the rest of the site. And starting out, I would like to import sponsor hosted galleriesm with submits opening later after everything is up and running. With that in mind, is tgpx a good choice? I downloaded comus and played around with it...it's quite beast...something a little easier on the ol' brain would be nice. tgpx's products all seem pretty easy to get set up...I'm not a big fan of their template system, however. Thanks! |

If its only for your sponsor hosted galeries, a few lines of php, some sql and a little ingenuity in feeding all the FHG info into the database is all you need.
If you are any good at php, just write your own. If you aren't, look at it as a way of learning some php/mysql.

TGPX is a good script. Easy to use as well. Editing is quite easy although at the beginning, it can be hard. It's just a matter of getting used to it. If you buy a copy, buy one under me. If you need help on getting set up, feel free to PM me as well.

vanilla, smart scripts, x3..you can do a search and get quite a few. They are really not free as the free versions skim some of your traffic.

I like TGPX as well. I bought the server edition and use it to run several sites. Great for pornstar sites or any site that uses archives. Right now it runs 4 site's archives for me with one submit page (or import of hosted galleries).
I use smart thumbs too and for a THUMB tgp is rocks. Not so good for archives but possible. I actually use smart thumbs to run a thumb site and tgpx to run the archived galleries by pornstar name. The beauty of tgpx server edition is you can add as many domains/sites as you wish at no extra cost at all. You just have to add the domain and pages. |

to throw a monkey wrench into everything, there are two actual free tgps I kmow of. The first one runs off a flat file and is fairly simple. The second is the opposite, it looks like it has everything built into it except the kitchen sink.
I tried the first, but didnt like the flat file idea, I think because of the way it was formatted, but it did work. The second didnt work out of the box, and is pretty buggy. However, there is some pretty nice code in it and it is LGPL which means its actually free and if you find its taking 2% of your traffic, you can delete that. Its also looking to be abandoned by the developers and has crap for documentation. I'm getting the itch to do a goth/emo/alt TGP, so I might bite the bullet and use it.

Here's my first creation with Smart Thumbs. The gallery displays when you select the "gallery" tab....at least that's how it's supposed to work. I plan to mix up the sponsors more, though.
