Has this happened to anyone else? My AEBN stats stopped updating on the 20th of Feburary 2004, I don't use them much but I even forced 2 hits there yesterday and that was not even recorded. Emailed them but got no reply, goodbye AEBN

I just checked and you did not use the Help Desk with this problem. This is especially troubling since AEBN is one of our sponsors. I will get in touch with Bishop and ask him to clear this up.

Please, when you are having problems with one of our sponsors, either use the Help Desk or write Greenguy or myself a quick email.

I have said this a million times. When you have a problem with any sponsor, posting on the board should be the last thing you do. In this business, all we have to go on are our names. AEBN is a top notch program and I have never heard a complaint about them.

When we take on a sponsor, we make sure they are honorable and have integrity when dealing with their affiliates.

Harry,

Please email your account number to bishop@aebn.net.

Would you also send me a copy of the emails you sent AEBN? Who did you send them to? Any information you can provide would be appreciated.

I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

I had to look up your account to figure out why it was your 2nd best month.. then I realized.. February had 2 fewer days than January.

Ok you are correct. If you login to your account and go to 'Site Traffic' and then 'by Banner' you will see that it stopped showing your clicks as of 2/20. I just talked to the database admin and he explained that he had turned it off to update something and forgot to turn it back on. ALL the stats are saved in logs so we have ALL that information. He has restarted that job and it should update on the site in a few hours. It has to go through all the logs since the 20th and then post it.. may take a little while. Check back later today and your stats should read properly.

You have been the only person to notice that portion of the tracking was not working correctly. Nobody else had mentioned it to anyone around here otherwise it would have been corrected sooner. Once we became aware of the problem you can see how quickly it got fixed.

In the future if you have a problem please contact me. Going to any message board and posting concerns should be your last resort. If you go to the AEBN website you will find lots of contact email addresses and even phone numbers to the office.

I would still like to know who you sent an email to regarding this problem.. and how many emails you sent. If you would forward that information to me at bishop@aebn.net I would really appreciate it. We have a small army of people here keeping this site up and operational. I want to know who dropped the ball. When did you first try to contact someone about this?

You know, I never thought of that - 2 more days & I'd have had my best month ever

Yeah that is the cool thing about AEBN. When the ball starts rolling and you have a member base your checks get bigger every month. When you said it was your 2nd best month I had to go look at your stats to figure out why. That is how rare it is for someones stats to go down. Once surfers realize the value they use it forever. It isn't a reoccuring business model. A portion of the transactions you have are new members but the biggest share of transactions is always members coming back to buy more.

The hardest thing for new webmasters to understand is that your not going to get a big check the first month, the way you do from other sponsors. You will however get a check that gets bigger and bigger every month forever. The trick is getting the surfer to try the system out. Surfers are use to paysites with reoccuring billing. This is a new way for them to buy porn and they are naturally suspicious. People who really love porn tend to like the system the most. They can see new releases without going to the video store.

I need to write an article explaining in depth how the system works.. so many people don't understand it. You do.. most don't.

I signed up with aebn ages ago. However, my stats don't go up... they've been pretty much static - up and down each month but overall not much movement... guess my surfers don't see the value you say every one else sees lol

Email me your account number and I'll take a look at it. bishop@aebn.net - If you have a large member base your numbers should be going up monthly.. the way Greenguy's does. If you have a small user base then your numbers will be sparatic because you have a handful of dedicated users and a bunch of people who signed up for a free account but never actually pulled out their credit card. Which btw I am working on a system to get none spending users back in the spending pile. I hope to have that operational in the very near future.

I've been with AEBN since they first started. (In fact one of the guys that worked there said I was one of the first to test them out. If I remember correctly)

Not only have I not had any trouble with them at all, I have been very happy with the results. I think Feb. might have been my best month as well. They seem to do better and better every month.

They are top notch in my book.
