I don't think I trust anyone enough to send traffic to their domain so that they can redirect it to my sponsor.

No offense, but what's to stop you from putting in your own codes every now & then? Closing down & taking all the traffic?

And is there really a need to shorten up the URL?

I can do the same thing on my own domain with a one line php file.

PHP Code:
<?php header ("location: http://sponsor-referral-link.com"?>
Create a file with the above code (replace the link URL) for each sponsor/site then link to that instead of using the referral URL.

.htaccess

Code:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^sponsor1$ http://sponsorurl1.com/ [R=302,L]
RewriteRule ^sponsor2$ http://sponsorurl2.com/ [R=302,L]
RewriteRule ^sponsor3$ http://sponsorurl3.com/ [R=302,L]
RewriteRule ^sponsor4$ http://sponsorurl4.com/ [R=302,L]
http://site.com/sponsor1 would then redirect the surfer.

You could do 301s if you didn't want to intentionally scrape your sponsors.

This is all true, but I'm not willing to to steal from people. There are many other URL shortening services being used.

Maybe I shouldn't target adult webmasters with this service. Surfers use these services more than webmasters, although I've made some nice $$$ from using other URL shortening services for high PR links and such.

Anyways, the service is there for anyone wanting to use it

Yes, this can be done, but with my site, you can shorten up to 1500 links at once. Takes about 5 seconds. It can be useful for some things, but not for everyone, I guess

Change everyone to most and I'd agree.

You'll find that adult webmasters tend to be a rather independent lot. (huge understatement) We're not going to place control our income generating links in the hands of a third party.

Either way, this is the Product and/or Services section, right? I'm offering a free service

I'm not making anyone use it, or am I going to change links on people. I don't rip off people, ever, but I understand why MOST wouldn't trust their links with other people.
