penisbot recip button

I would like to start submitting my free sites to Penisbot. I've been trying to download a recip button. I use Dreamweaver 3.0, and IE 6.0. When I right click on the image to save to my hard drive it saves as a .bmp image, not a .gif or .jpeg. As a .bmp it appears as a broken image.

What am I doing wrong?

Is there anyone that could offer a suggestion?

Thank you DD

I did what you suggested, and although it didn't work it was something that was much needed, my cache was outrageously stuffed!

I did finally figure out the problem though. It was an issue of the image not downloading when I clicked on the download now option. All better now

Thanks again.

If you are still having problems just go to "Tools" in your brower, then "Internet Options" -> "General" -> "Delete Files" -> check the "Delete all offline content"

This works for me every time

Thanks Fonz,

I did go ahead and delete all the offline content last night, which was also much needed. I don't think that had actually ever been done on this computer.

I discovered that what I was doing wrong was selecting "save picture as" instead of realizing that I wasn't being asked which directory I wanted to download too.|doh|

So, I finally figured out how to do it right. Thanks so much for the tip, though.

I have always had the same problem.
So I work around it by saving the pic from a freesite that is allready listed in the right catagory....

I had this problem for months until I found the problem.

I deleted my temp internet files then did the following:

go to Tools - Internet Options - Settings - View Objects - then delete anything that doesn't say installed.

Worked for me

If I'm not mistaken all I did was change the extension to .gif when saving them.

Hmmm, off topic but…

On a Mac we just drag the image to whatever folder we want to save it to, like the desktop.

Also off topic…
I really wish PenisBot used just one image and changed the text for category recips or just had a text only option on their niche recip buttons.

People....

This "Clear your IE cache..." = this "Delete all offline content" = this "deleted my temp internet files"....

Am I old or are you MS employees?

Actually it surprises me most people don't realize windows works the same way....just drag and drop if you want....you want to save an image to your desktop from the web just drag it there....want to open a .txt file with notepad...drag it into a notepad window or onto the notepad icon...open the same file with wordpad?...just drag it there...word?...the same..
Works on every file type...if you drag an mpeg onto the windows media icon, that program will open playing the file....or whatever program you want to to pen the movie with just drag the file on that programs icon.

Yeah I kind of thought it was that way pretty much since Windows95, but wasn't sure since I use Windows so little.

I do own a Win2K machine, it is almost never one since it is a noisy cheap box, and Mozilla works that way. In fact Mozilla is almost exactly the same on Mac, Windows, and Linux.

Porn Princess, many people have the same problem. You should save the page with recips by IE (File->Save As) and then find *.gif images in the folder where you save the page.
