Free site's header. How it should look like?

I've search the forum for answers, but have not found any.
I make header pictures for my free sites myself and sometimes I meet the situation that they are considered to be inappropriate. I also checked other free sites at LLs and found out that the submited ones were using no pictures as headers.
I would like to bring a couple of examples - please do not count them as an advertisment or something.

Is there anything wrong about these pages? I know that i am using sponsors' content, but i am asking about the design in general.

Well, as far as I can see neither of the sites have titles, free sites must have titles visible on their warning pages and it can not be the name of the paysite You are promoting, also on 1 of them You have a link to the sponsor on the warning page that says enter here, this is a no no on warning pages.

I usually just use photoshop to make a nice looking title and then maybe stick a banner or some text with the site im promoting in it and never have had any problems.

Looks ok now, I guess you did fix them. Right now, you just have a banner and a text header under it, which should fly.

I usually do as moveup does, just a nice photoshop logo with the name of the freesite, not linked to anything. I use that on all 4 pages of the FS, though I have seen FS that only put the logo on the warning page.

Be careful with banners that look like clickable thumbs! That would be a reason for rejection.

I think I've understood the principles. They sound like "the simpliest, the better". There is no need in any DIY headers. I have also checked other free sites and noticed that no one is using them.

I have a suggestion pertaining to site names like the teen ass drilled site. How about using "Ass Drilled Teens" and for your Enter why not use Enter Ass Drilled Teens.

I'd watch banners that look like thumbs, and try using more text related selling approach. Might get a few more clicks than a centered banner ad. Mix it up some and see what woprks and what doesn't.

Two advantage of using text titles over graphic titles:

Bandwidth and SEO

Bandwidth is still worth something - save it for your adds, pics, and videos.

I even go as far as to use H1, H2 and if appropriate H3 tags - Use CSS to modify the H tags look.

In my experiance, if the H1 tag and the and metatag title are related (same basic terms) you'll do much better on search engines.

No – and yes – but most likely, maybe.

I’m not a search engine expert and I’m relatively new to the adult side of the industry but I have done very well over the years getting sites placed on the first page of a search Google and yahoo searches. Do a US English Google or yahoo search on any one of the three accepted spellings for “tipis” (tepees or teepees) and I’ll have at least two of my sites in the top ten on every spelling.

This said, I would never expect to a single free-site to place high enough on a popular adult search phrase search to make me rich – they simply don’t have enough content to compete. However, the quality of every free-site you create contributes to the quality and quantity of content associated with every link list that list it. Why do you thing LL’s are so concerned about spelling and grammar (aside from the obvious professional look we all strive to maintain). Also, if you create a hub on the root of your domain, then link to all of your free sites hosted on that domain from the hub on the root, you slowly create enough content for your hub to start returning search results. If this is all quality content, you will typically get better results.

I typically focus on search phrases that are obtainable – for example, search on US English Google for the phrase “Colorado Amateur Porn” and you’ll find my pay site and one of my free sites listed twice, once at http://www.hqpornlinks.com and again at http://www.pervespace.com – all in the first 7 listed.


My checklist:
1. Focus on obtainable search phrases.
2. Make every page you create SEO friendly (proper use of html and meta tags, text, alt tags, titles, H tags, etc…)
3. Write quality titles and descriptions that accurately describe what is on the site. Quality focused content is preferred over word-stuffing or quantity of content.
4. Create a hub - link to these pages with from the root of the domain where they are hosted.
5. Don’t expect miracles.

If I only had more time........

Now if we can get some of the real SEO geeks to pipe in on this one – I’m sure there is much more to this than I can explain.

I don't think that in such niche as teen porn you have a chance to result well in SERPs with a free site... but i've understood the point of using text-phrases now.
a) They can help to optimize the root site they are hosted on.
b) There is more chance to be listed in LL because of the quality of your own outgoing links.

Then get more specific on the search - try Colorado Teen Porn - I get 4 listings on the first page of Google (between my LL and LL's where I submit my sites) - and I got 34 hits on that search phrase at http://www.outlawfreeporn.com today. 34 is better than nothing - and the surfer definatly got to a site that has Colorado Teen Porn.
