Registerfly CEO Fired Possible Jail Time

Just in case no one new registerfly site is down and ICANN is in court today trying to get the DVD of registration info

Newest newst is that Kevin the CEO locked out everyone from the server but John and Greg gained back control of the company and are aparently getting the site back up on a new server

For the Oficial release from registerfly this is the url http://registerflies.com/official-st...gisterfly.html

for more updated info check out www.registerflies.com
i myself have several domains with them and know alot of others who did or still do IMHO when they get back up and runing i would transfer all domains asap

Just thought the ifo would be helpful

I transferred my last domain away from there 2 weeks ago. Not a moment too soon it appears.

I have domains over there and am getting somewhat nervous. Does anybody know how much, if any, downtime there would be to switch registrars?

nibbler as far as i have found out their site is suppose to be live at 5 pm ( time zone unsure of ) All domain transfers from them need a EPP or Auth code and they seem to be hard to get at the moment . If you want to keep yourself updated on whats happening check out www.registerflies.com they seem to be keeping up on the news . i am camped out there now lol hoping and crossing my fingers so i can get my domains transfered ASAP

hope this helps

Twiceshy, thanks for the contact info at moniker. I'm gonna let this registerfly thing play out before deciding. Was there any downtime for transfering domains?

Zero downtime yes but move as fast as you can. Any registrar going down in this business is bad for everyone.

It wouldn't surprise me if they are intentionally keeping the site down so that they won't lose all of their customers overnight. That, or the flood of people trying to transfer their domains away is like a DDOS attack pulling their server down.

Finally they are after that Kevin Medina, I almost lost a very important domain because of him, around 2 years ago.

They , he did not want to release my domain to a new registrar. Unreal. Domain down and so on was real bad. My worse experience ever in adult.....

I hope everyone gets clean out of it.

Good Luck

Wow, i'm sure glad I didn't have any domains with them. Seems that everyone has been having problems with them lately.

Interesting article from Businessweek. I did not realize the extent of the problems such as fraud and embezzlement

Twiceshy,

I managed to transfer my domains to Moniker. Your contact, Albert, is a great guy. Thanks for your help.
