Also check your sponsor stats and see what your click-thru ratio is. Some link list have alot of traffic, but if the traffic doesn't sell then you have to change up. If you have a niche then find a LL that is geared toward that niche. Niche traffic is always a best seller. Trial and error is a key in this biz.

I say submit to as many Link lists that you can, and spend some time making sure that they are all active - I started out submitting to a lot of sites that had not been updated in a year ^^ - don't waste your time like that

Also have to remember, sites big or small, can help you get your free sites in the SE's. And ya, as horny dude said, targeted traffic will sell better.
