What do you do with your sponsor rss feeds?
I use my sponsors rss feeds to make splogs. Does anybody else (walrus) use your sponsor feeds for other things? Those of you that do use sponsor feeds for splogs, Do you rewrite the post or just leave them as is?

Sometimes I'll import the feed as a draft, then change the horrible writing and then post it, basically it just saves me some time grabbing / editing content, but that's just when I'm feeling really really lazy which doesn't happen too often.

Same here! When I'm in a rush, I'll import the sponsor feed and edit it. I almost never leave them as is. If there's something else to do with rss feeds, I don't know what it is.

Me fail English? That's unpossible!

Same. Use as a way to notify me a new set is released, and rewrite the entry.

A woman is like beer. They look good, they smell good, and you'd step over your own mother just to get one!

Yep, same as the above, rewrite for the most part.

Looking to get me to give away all my trade secrets?
Depending on the feed, I've created pages on my blog rather than posts out of the feeds and I've added them to the sidebar of my blog. The sidebar is especially effective for those feeds that have a questionable amount of text. I've created sales pages using them. Once you play around with RSS2HTML and give it a little thought you can come up with plenty of potential uses. Or at least a few more other than creating splogs. |
