Everything keeps going up in price so another dollar or two does not bother me especially when they are investing in their own content.
Plus they just announced a new show with Steve Carell: |

I just watched that with my son the other day. It was the first time in over a month that he sat and watched something with me. I should have guessed he'd be a Monty Python nerd.

I did finish the last season of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and though I thought some of it was bad it did have enough moments of quirky hilarity to make it worth it.
I've added a bunch of new stuff to the queue but have been wrapped up in other stuff that has stopped me from the Netflix binge so who knows when I'll get to it all. |

So yesterday I decided to start watching the new season of Punisher. That turned into me just sitting on the couch, no laptop, and getting through 11 episodes. I'll watch the last 2 today while waiting on the estimate dude.
This is something I have not done since before my wife was diagnosed with cancer 16 months ago. It was nice but I sure felt like a slacker, since I only worked 4 hours, when I went to bed last night |

Netflix new price increase sucks but I do watch it and my daughter watches Netflix all the time so I'm paying it. I think it's worth it. Cable I'd love to dump but my wife is addicted to the stupid housewife shows and other reality TV crap.
Punisher season 2 was good Now I need to read through this thread more for what to watch next |

In the last 36 hours, I finished F Is For Family, binged on Season 2 of The Punisher , watched The Bill Murray Stories & Filmworker about Leon Vitali who gave up a promising film career to basically devote his life to Stanley Kubrick (it was really good).

For those that don't know. The last of the Marvel shows, Jessica Jones and Punisher, have been canceled. Who knows if they will continue when they move, more below.
If you have not seen them and want to you should do so as these will probably be all removed some time later this year as Disney will be introducing their streaming services and they own the rights to Marvel and should be pulling all their content out of Netflix. They own Disney, ABC, Marvel Studios, Lucas Films and others. Now, I did finish Medici which I liked and have now started a series called Happy. 1st episode had a rough start but by the end I found certain elements quite funny. Watched 3 episodes last night and it's just entertaining enough to finish the series. |

My son and I binge-watched that series. We loved it. My son NEVER watches TV, which means that "Happy" was just quirky enough to hold his attention.

I heard rumor about Disney stream service 2 years ago which is why I thought it was strange they put so many of their animated movies on Netflix but it makes sense. They have hooked, like my grandson, on the ability to watch their movies over and over anytime on their tv, phones and tablets. So when it is only on Disney stream my daughter will be signing up like millions of other families. |

I did finish Happy and it was quirky and funny but the subject matter, even though I knew it was heading that way, always leaves me uneasy. |

I finished The Umbrella Academy and it was enjoyable. I actually wished there were more episodes to watch.
The Ken Jeong comedy special was pretty good as well. |

I 1st watched A Futile And Stupid Gesture which was a movie about Doug Kenney, who co-founded National Lampoon & co-wrote Animal House & Caddyshack. I recommend it, especially if you know nothing about him
And then the pop-culture roles reversed... Quote:

I forgot that I also watched NOVA: Building Chernobyl's MegaTomb, which I assume was suggested due to popularity of HBO's Chernobyl series. It's amazing that they not only built this, but that it actually worked.

Netflix alerted me to a new doc called The Great Hack which is described as: "Explore how a data company named Cambridge Analytica came to symbolize the dark side of social media in the wake of the 2016 U.S. presidential election." So I might watch that today, unless CSPAN is more interesting... |

The Bitch & I watched the HBO Documentary Who Killed Garrett Phillips? which was yet another "small town cops railroad an innocent person". It's a great doc, but I lost count of how many times we each went
Netflix has some popular series back or returning soon: Yesterday: Orange Is The New Black S7 2019-08-01: The Sinner S2 2019-08-09: Glow S3 2019-08-16: Mindhunter S2 2019-09-20: Disenchantment Part 2 Enjoy! |
