Happy Thursday July 17th
Good morning y'all, just working away as usual.
Nothing exciting going on really. Oh wait I sort of got hit by a car 2 days ago. I was in Starbucks parking lot crossing to go inside (Super small parking lot) and this car comes from around the corner, I thought nothing of it since it's 40-50 feet away and I'm almost to the line up of cars for the drive-thru, she gets closer (this all happens in 5-6 seconds) then WHAM her driver's mirror smokes my left forearm and part of my hip. The funny thing is I wasn't ONE BIT worried about her, she wasn't even close to me. In fact I didn't move, flinch, nothing UNTIL She hit me. I didn't realize there was danger that's how fucked up it is she hit me. What she did was she cut her wheel to navigate around the corner, WHERE I was walking. SO she goes from being 5-10 feet away from missing me to cutting her wheel and hitting me. IDIOT. Here's the kicker... she stops, rolls down her window and says "You alright? I didn't even see you". How can you not see a figure walking across the parking lot. I'm skinny sure lol, but I'm 6'3 and was wearing a black shirt on a sunny morning. Oh... le me guess, texting? Anyway, I didn't even go over to her window, I said it's ok, I'm fine and went inside. I thought about it while getting my coffee... 6-8 more inches and she would have ran over my leg with her tire or worse, fully run over me, WTF |

Ramster, glad you are ok. A few weeks ago a car just missed my while I was walking on te sidewalk. It knocked over a huge palm tree and the driver was arrested for DUI.
Still dealing with the last bits of this cold. Still congested but made it back to the gym yesterday. Just another mundane day of work planned for today. |
