Make Sure You Get Your Information Correct

When using our forum, Possible Cheaters, always make sure you have the correct information. It takes many years in this business before you are trusted completely but it only takes one post to take that all away.

When Greenguy and I decided to start this forum, we knew there could be problems. Hence the name, "Possible" Cheaters.

Here is an example of what could happen
While this didn't make it to the forum, yesterday, it was brought to my attention that one of our sponsors had several misspelled popular domains hosted on a single ip address. Without checking the information myself, I went to the sponsor and asked about it. After some discussion, we figured out that the person that did the research misspelled our sponsor's domain name. I blame myself for this. I should have checked the information myself before I ever mentioned it to a sponsor. I believe this accusation was kept between just a handful of people. But, what if it made the Possible Cheaters forum? I know this person would have never posted such comments about one of our sponsors but, if it were someone else, they may have. And even though the person that would have posted this information would have been wrong, the damage would have been done. In this business, you can't un-ring the bell.

All I am really saying is the accusation of someone being a cheater or just dirty will wipe out all the hard years of making a good name for themselves. Be very sure before you accuse someone of anything dirty.

Have a Great Day!
Greenguy and Jim
