Thursday October 19th (aka RIP Gord Downie)
Morning!
Was very saddened by the news that Tragically Hip frontman Gord Downie lost his battle with cancer yesterday To say they were massive in Canada is an understatement, but except for a few areas in the US (like Buffalo) they never really caught on down here. Day For Night is a very personal album to me & to my website because I can clearly remember listening to it over & over & over when I 1st started creating LOR. He will be missed Even though I had to leave the house twice yesterday to run people around, I did get a lot of grunt work done for Ramster. Today, I somehow volunteered my services to help the ASSIL paint his shed so it's work until he calls & says he's ready for me. Have a spiffy day |

I am online again! The house closed on Monday, so I haven't had anything other than my less than wonderful phone to keep me connected. My AT&T homebase was delivered yesterday, so now I have a decent connection to my PC in the camper. So much better. Plus, I'm watching how much power my oversized PC is pulling off the invertor fed by my battery bank which is fed by my rooftop solar panels.
Now I have to bring the old Durango to the garage for some much needed maintenance. There goes a chunk o' cash.

Afternoon!
Speaking of distractions, I have yet to be able to sit down and work. Something in the air, maybe? Really lovely autumn day, so I'm going for a stroll with doggie now, try to get some work done, after that. We had our first frost night as well, it something nice about it too... Jlly |

Good Morning
Our visit with the surgeon yesterday went fairly well and we believe the lump has reduced a little in size which is great after just the first chemo. UW, congrats on closing and give you credit for going camper life. I would suggest driving down towards Florida before the winter hits. I believe it gets a little chilly in your neck of the woods. Going to do some work and then household chores due an arriving family member. I at least got the front yard mowed and cleaned up yesterday plus cleaned up my office. Enjoy your Thursday! |

LOL it certainly does. I'll be heading to North Carolina first, then eventually on to Quartzsite, AZ for the winter.
