Banner rotator script

quite some time ago there was a thread about banner rotatting scripts... as I remember, Cleo was talking about really good one... so, if anyone remebers the URL - I'd be greatefull!

I need a script that can have couple of categories of banners, rotating each category, and telling me wich banners are clickable, and wicha re not....

You'll actually find it Here It's extremely powerful and does everything except make the coffee. It does take a little work to set it up, but reading the manual helps a lot LOL

i have just downloaded that rotating script because i always like to try new scripts, this seems very powerful, and the manual is 75 pages, so it should be good hehe.....do you guys have any tips for it?

I have a whole lot of niches so it would a little different then how a niche specific list like your might do it. Also I have one horizontal banner spot and two vertical spots per page.

I add one or two banners per niche per sponsor. I just keep on adding them in as I join new sponsors. Once in awhile I'll go in and start pulling sponsor's banners if I don't them pulling in sales, but I'l leave them in there for a very long time before pulling something. Mostly I try to have a lot of variety on banners with different sale approaches per niche. I do often do an ad for the horizontal spot and then using that banner as my template I make up a vertical ad for the same site.

I have folder on my server that I make up one page per sponsor and on that page I put all of that sponsor's ads that I will add into the banner rotator. It makes for an easy copy and paste of code. Like on this page http://cleos-porn-links.com/a/wepayyou/

I made up one Campaign per niche per horizontal or vertical placement so I have two Campaigns per niche.

I also made up two Zones, one horizontal and one vertical, that I use for my main pages and any page that isn't niche specific. I can then add in ads from the Campaign as I feel appropriate, usually more mainstream porn for the horizontal spot and just about everything in the vertical spots.

About the only thing I don't like about my system is that if I get a banner that is appropriate for more then one niche I have to duplicate it and move it into that niche. Not a big deal, but more work later on if I decide to edit or pull that ad since there will be more then one copy.

It's nice being able to go to my Inventor screen as see exactly what ads are where per niche, this is absolutely fucking fantastic!!! Also viewing by Banner overview screen is great for a fast visual of what ads are showing where and in what niche.

I also made up a few different Advertisers so I have one for surfer ads, one for webmaster ads, etc. In my last banner rotator I mixed all the ads together and it became overwhelming have so many different ads geared to different audiences all mixed together.

Once I have enough ads in my database I may start using the feature that allows me to show different ads to different surfers based on what country they are coming from. From what I can tell this is a $150 per year fee to be hooked into the database. Imagine serving up the correct banners in the correct language that offered the correct type of program for that surfer. I'm going to need a whole lot more ads in my database to do this.

hey Cleo, that script was fucking awesome, i didn't have time to thank you before, i put it up on our boards and our MGPs for rotating our paysite's banners - good work!

I just wanted to ask you guys and ladies that are using banners - are banners working at all!? ... I mean, I wanted to place em instead of these thumbs on top that I have on my category pages like http://www.boobster.net/amateur.shtml ... and I was just wondering is that worth seting up? ... I think thumbs are more clickable than banners, and since they link to MY gallys - seems like better option - don't you think? ... any opinion would be appriciated!

Some months my text listings over at my link list has better sales and some months, like this month, the rotating banners over at my link list has better sales.

I don't think having thumbs linking to more free porn is better then having ads.

Using the HTML banner type in the script you can have it display anything you like. I use it on HooterHQ to display the thumbs in the right hand side. It can even make sure the same banner is not shown on the same page.. which is pretty neat

I have such question about AdsNew:
How can I place the AdsNew code on my linklist which is generates dynamic pages to understand what banners show in proper nich?

for example:
I have 2 niches on my site: Amateur, Anal and I want to show banners on top of page I place the code on the top of the page and how does this code understand where Anal page or Amateur page??

you can simply create 2 different campaigns and for each campaign add the banners you want, i.e.: for each niche, you add the respective banners, then you get the proper invocation code and every time the page's loaded you'll get the 2 different campaigns to show up.

I have been talking quite a bit with the sysadmin at national net this last weekend. One of the things we talked about was rotators. While phpads is good...there are a lot better. But, you have to pay for it. He recommended ad juggler but said it was about $12k.
