I would like to buy a digital camera but have no idea where to start |confused|

I have gone through the reviews of many cameras but I am not quite sure which one to buy

I'm willing to spend between $300 -$400

Any suggestions ?

You didn't say what you will be using it for.

For doing porn shoots we use a Nikon D70 since we need a totally manual camera with changeable lenses and the ability to plugin studio strobes.

For fun pics I use the Casio EX-S500 since I want something that carries easy in my purse and also fits in my jean's pocket. The quality is amazing for such a small camera.

These days I mostly use my cell phone's, Sony Ericsson K750i, camera for doing blog pics. As long as the light is good the pics are even better then they need to be.

I also use my cell phone's camera, I have a Sony Ericsson W810i and the camera quality is excellent in but only in good light condtitions.

The Sony Ericsson W810i is basically the same camera as the Sony Ericsson K750i re-branded. It is really amazing just how good the pics are from it but like you said only if the light is good.

I hardly use my Casio for doing fast fun pics anymore since getting this cell phone. But the Casio is truly amazing in picture quality and being so small it is also almost always with me. Having a camera that is bigger usually means it ends up being left behind.

HAving a cell phone with decent pic quality does mean that you will take pics of almost anything. What else would you use while bored to take a pic of yourself pissing…
