Can the Colts go 19-0?

I think they can, but I am more worried at the cost of trying, when Manning tripped on his own feet and then limped off my heart sank. As I’m sure did Dungy who wants to sit his star players as much as he can.

San Diego is next and they are a damn good team but I think the Colts can and will beat them *IF* they play their starters and play the game as if it mattered. Same with Seattle who I think have a great chance winning the NFC since my first pick of Atlanta has to win out to get into the playoffs and the Colts last game vs AZ is nothing more then a practice game.

But going 16-0 and losing in the playoffs will make this a losing season, since the entire point is to win XL. As a fan I would rather go 18-1, 17-2 etc, as long as they get the win on Feb 5, but I would so love the 19-0.

Good point about the Colts Torn. I'd love to see them go 19-0 and think they can do it. But to risk an injury to do it is what I would question. I'm a Bucs fan true and true but think Dungy got shit on here in Tampa when they let him go. That was his team when we won the super bowl that year. Word here is Tony can get you to the playoffs but can't get you to the super bowl. I wish he would just to prove these people wrong.

Speaking of the Bucs that win against Carolina was a huge win for us We have to play in the frozen Northeast this weekend though it will be tough for our players. Then the Saints at home, it's looking pretty good for us! Look out for #20 Pats fans he'll kick your ass!!

The Sabres are playing shit hot. Won 9 of last 10 I think.

Indy should NOT sit their starters for entire games. Sitting after playing a maybe 3 quarters or the first half is smart but to sit them after the first quarter and you are asking for one of 2 things. Rust in the playoffs or because of a lack of game time play an injury. Play the starters and keep them fresh and confident going into the playoffs.

Seattle in 2 weeks might also have home field secure and playing for nothing.

I think if it came to it that if Seattle has home field locked up, we will see both teams playing starters for the whole game, this would be almost be a for sure preview of the super bowl and both teams will want to go all out to get the edge I think.

Does anyone remember the last time the best teams in the AFC and NFC played each other so late into the regular season?

Ron Artest…. dammit….. He is a great fucking player, top 10 in the NBA but a total nut job.

Now he wants to be traded and this is all out of the blue, Walsh says he will trade him, I really think this is one of those dumb ass things he says and then a week later changes his mind, but I think the Pacers have had enough. I have also heard Jermain has had enough of Artest and wants him gone as well, but there is no player out there that can score 20 + and shut down the other team on Defense, so no matter what we are going to lose out.

He wants to go to the Knicks, but I do not think they have anyone worthy of a trade of Artest’s caliber. The Kings have Peja who I would love to have, but still, he is not a defensive player and I would rather have a defensive player over another shooter. And Somehow I don’t think they could trade him to Detroit for Billups or one of the Wallace’s. ESPN is saying the Heat and Cavs are interested, but again, who is there that would be traded? Not Wade, not Shaq and not LeBron.

Dammit…. We get so close and then the foundation crumbles….

Forget Indy, how about those Browns!?

ok... nevermind

As for Artest, it's not very likely that they would trade him to a eastern confrence team. He says he would like to come here, although his first choice is the knicks, but no way is Indy going to load up the Cavs with 'Bron and Artest. Although if a trade did happen, it would probably include Hughes who's fair on defense and his offensive style (driving and dishing with a moderate jumper) is pretty redundant here with LeBron.

The Sabres? hmmm what sport do they play?

Artest in the top 10 in the NBA? Really? I don't know about that. I'll agree with the nut job part though.

Fucking hell.....

Instead of Colts/Chargers which means something to both teams, I get Jets/Phins which means notta to anyone....|confused|

GO HORSE!

Of course I will root for the Colts, since the Giants will beat KC and the Chargers will beat KC the next week and also beat Denver the week after since Denver will have a first round bye and rest all their starters so the Chargers will make the playoffs since they will beat KC....

Go Chargers! |shocking|

As you know I play basketball in 3 leagues here weekly so I mentioned Artest to a few of my friends that follow the NBA a lot knowing stats and all that shit. If pushed they said they would consider Artest in the top 10 in the NBA. He's an all around player on offense and defence.

I still don't like him. LOL

I've been reading a lot on this, the Pacers have barred him from any Pacer functions, and he is "dead" to them. And if they do not find the trade that they like, he still will not play this year, he is 100% done as a Pacer.

They all feel betrayed by him since they stood by him and defended him over last year and all the other crap he has done the past 5 years. As Oneal said he thought that he and Ron had "grown closer this past year then ever before" and then Artest goes to the press and stabs everyone in the back.

No one wants him on the Pacer roster, and last night he was on a radio show and it is said he was regretful on how he blabbed to the press and even got a shot in in Magic.

http://www.theindychannel.com/sports...21/detail.html

He contradicts himself saying the main reason is he’s not getting the ball enough but then says he would like to backup LeBron…umm…..

I’ve read a few ideas on who/where and my favorite is for Al Harrington who should never have been traded. I have also seen Vince Carter’s name pop up. I still would rather have a solid Defensive player over a shooter unless that shooter is a big time shooter.

Ron has said he expects the trade to be done this weekend, so we will see.

He is a damn good player and I will miss his play, but enough already, maybe he and TO can start a group….

I so fucking knew this was coming....

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2263787

Mark Stevens, Artest's agent, told The Associated Press on Saturday that Artest holds out hope he can remain a Pacer.

Interesting....a random sports thread...my 2 cents

Indy not only will not go undefeated but they won't be going to the big show either. Chargers are in a must win situation this weekend and the Colts have little other than a perfect season to play for. I expect the quest for perfection to end this weekend....and then the playoffs.

While I think it would be perfectly ironic for the Pats to once again burst their bubble in the second round of the play-offs, either the Bronco's or the Bengals have a good shot at knocking them out again, depending on which survives the battle.

Ron Artest is a punk and has caused more problems for a team than he has ever solved, IMHO.

USC will once again be the "National Champs".

Bad weekend in football land. The Bucs?????? Did they all forgot to get on the bus? I'm gald we were having a Birthday party on Sat. As I didn't have to sit and watch them suck. I only looked at the tv when I got a chance, and everytime I did our quaterback was on the ground

Then I had to watch the Colts yesterday loose! I hated to see that happen.

Oh well hope this weekend is better. I think Carolina is going to the super bowl. That is unless we knock them out to the playoffs, come on Bucs get your act together.
