Ok, I'm completely stumped. How the heck do I create a tag line, the bit that appears benieth my post so I can quietly and unobstruvily promote whatever it is that it might be, lol.

AVS IS NOT DEAD..........................
Hi, my name is Dwayne and I work for Sexkey. It is an AVS that has been around since 1997. We made it through the changing times a few years ago, and we are still going strong. We have a great conversion ratio, and we payout timely every 2 weeks. AVS is not dead. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me in any of the following ways:
ICQ - 175991098 AIM - sexkeydwayne Yahoo - sxkey_dwayne dwayne@sexkey.com Thanks, Sexkeydwayne

They no longer accept BASIC sites. They still take Pro and Elite. I only build elite, so that didn't effect me.

Virgo Hippy,
A few of the things I remember from the crash of AVS was the fact that they were called Adult Verification System... (Service?) something like that, and the whole "You can prove someone is over 18 with a credit card" went out the window when they started giving minors credit cards. Many of the systems no longer let you say wording to the effect of we take a credit card to prove that you are over 18 or something like that. The other had to do with getting access to "1,000's of SITES". I'm not sure why it was a problem, but many of them now call them galleries or something or other to make it sound like it is a bunch of pages from the same "site." Some don't even allow you to preview the sites on their list unless you are a member. I don't use those systems much anymore. I don't know why that was an issue, someone else might, or have a thread to point to that goes into more details. Hope that helps some.

The concept still doesn't seem all that flawed to me. Makes me wonder why so very few people still do it.

Sorry for bumping this 4 day old thread, but any of you guys have an icq contant for somebody at NetVerifier?
And what is the difference between basic avs site and elite/pro avs site? |

Hello, is this President Clinton? Good! I figured if anyone knew where to get some tang it would be you
|
Basically the basic AVS sites are nothing more than a free site with 20-40 pics on it. A pro/elite AVS site has a lot more and often more rules as to how many links and banners you can have.
I remember back in the days (*LOL* I'm I sounding like an old man) when I'd buy 5-6-700 pics with the same model and crank out a shitload of free sites with them. Then also have all the pics put into one huge AVS (Platinum sites) with CyberAge. And then promote the AVS as a paysite on the free sites. I never made the same money promoting myself that way as I did promoting regular paysites. But there is no reason to pull the sites. They still make a few dollars now and then.

I just got an ICQ message about this thread and Tommy.. I'm sorry to hear about your drop in income... It's something all us avs vets have seen happen
I used to love Adult Verifier Tim, as he'd do anything for anyone, so I put up a load of sites there. One day the checks stopped arriving and no matter how or who has tried to contact him for me.. zilch ..nada.. zip for 2 years. NetV, Cyber Age and CyberSex used to bring me in a fair amount. Now I make about $50 a month max from them in total, if that. I receive one check a year from Pro Adult I have left all those sites up as there's nothing else I can do with them. They're really feeders for my own pay sites and if I get the odd sale from them.. It's a bonus. How many other oldies have just left their avs sites up as they don't use that much bandwidth Cleo.. Sorry to hear about you and Cyber Age.. We may have argued in the past but I thought you were one of their main wm's. SexKey... how does your Indian niche sell now ? I tried a couple of sites back around 2000 but they did zero, so gave up on you. |

JoeA, I've never heard of such a large drop in income from CyberAge. If you were making 4 figures a pay period a couple of years ago you should be bringing in more then that.
CyberAge and CyberSexNetwork are still viable options. |

Sir Moby
I didn't mention any amount of money, so where does your comment about "4 figures a pay period" come from The avs I mentioned were secondary programmes for me at the time, though I promoted them as much as other avs. Both CyberAge and Cybersex have died a death for me along with NetV.. Look at the Cyberage forum to see how quiet it is these days and it's a shame, as I met Dave at the Jan 2001 Internext and got on well with him and the programme. I was also one of the first Cybersex wm's to make sales when it launched. |

Your AVS sites are what made me get into that side of the biz more than a few years ago. Thanks to that I made a lot of money and luckily sold all of the sites right befor the meltdown came. Even with the problems the AVS biz had there's no way I could have ever guessed there would come a time when you weren't making Hamptons beach house mortgage money with your AVS sites. Things are worse than I thought. |

Hello Tigermom
Look at my signature line. I've been using this AVS company for about 3 years and they send me checks twice a month, regular as clockwork. They do good rebills, at $20 per month for each recurring customer. I make many times more per month from my existing customers than I do from new sales. all the best to everyone from a very very sunny Scotland. |

A month or so ago you were only accepting websites from old wm's, glad to hear that's changed.

Bloody hell NetVerifier, one year six months and eight days to correct an erroneous statement about your company?
Shit I'd fire someone for that! |
