NOT sending surfers straight to a paysite... Opinions?

Im wondering how many link list owners would accept this. Im thinking of creating a page on my free site submitting domain that has a little review and graphic for each of the paysites in that niche that I consider to be the best. For example

Babes.html would have Twisty's, 1 by Day, Babes.tv, etc...

On my free site I wouldnt advertise a particular site. Id just say "Check out my list of the top babe sites on the internet - Click here" or something like that.

From Babes.html I would send them straight to the paysites. And Id have a page like this for all the niches I promote (babes, teen, lesbian, bbw, mature, etc...)

Is anyone else doing this? I know some will say, send them straight - its better. But this way if they dont like twisty's they may like 1 by day or another one. I sort of double or triple my chances at making a sale. My thought is that if I dont get cute with the text on my free site and dont send the surfer to pop-up hell I would be in pretty good shape no?

It would take a bit of extra work but I think it would be well worth it. Any comments are welcome.

I do something like this with fpa's and have had no problem. It can sometimes even help on getting listed at the hun and some other places. Plus you have your own page to get indexed and you can link to other pages.

For example if a sponsor has a multi site deal then I will make a fpa for all of them and link to each from a single page. THen promote one targeted site on my free site and also link to the multi site deal (single page with links to all fpa's) in a different add spot.

I would not think that be a reason to get rejected, you could argue it is better to have your own tour as you are in control off where the FS links too.
Having my own 'tour page' that links directly to the join up is something i would like to try (when i have the other 50 jobs to do out the way) as many sites have great content but poor tours that just do not fit. I would personally not make it a niche page though as you could confuse as to which pay site the content they have just seen is from.

Thats sort of the reason behind my original idea. I have my own licensed content that Im using and its not from any paysite. I feel kinda odd sending a surfer to a paysite directly from my free site because its likely my content ISNT in the members area. And the surfer would probably expect it to be.

Another advantage would be that I could list the top quality sites in that niche (imo) and not have to worry about breaking any rules. Alot of the good sites wont let you promote their site with anything but the content they provide to webmasters. The problem with using sponsor content is that some ll's dont allow it and most ll reviewers have seen it before.

I think the custom niche page is a win win for me and the surfers. I can even make a few mini galleries for each of the sponsor sites (softcore but tasty). That way the surfer will be able to see a model that actually is in the members area of that site before making any decisions. I will probably leave that part out at first. But it would be nice to be able to write an add that says "More free teen porn pictures here" or whatever

As long as you're using your own content I think it's a very good idea

The next question you have to ask yourself is, what's in it for the link list owners? They provide you with the link and the traffic, afterall.

In effect, it would be a free site for your hub/ll. More like a one way trade. They send your hub/link page traffic and get nothing other than the recip link on the warning page of the free site, in return. It'll be interesting to see what they say when they weigh in on this. They could be fine with it.

As for the content, if it's not sponsor content, try your best to not infer in your ad text, that you will find the rest of the set or more of this girl on the site. That's about all you can do, other than get there first with the sponsor content.

Hey Trev, I guess I dont understand your point exactly. If I send straight to a paysite tour then what would be in it for the link list owner except a recip link on my warning page? I mean, it wouldnt be the same as sending the surfer to a free porn hub because its not a page anyone would likely bookmark and return to time and time again for fresh new free porn. Its just a page with some links to the top (imo) porn sites in that niche. More like a custom multi site fpa really. Err.. yeah, I wouldnt think a link list owner would be worried about traffic stealing or anything like that. Why would the surfer return to that niche page instead of going back to the original link list?

Ahah! I think I understand what youre saying. Youre saying if I used ads that said "more porn here" then it would be more of a niche "hub" than an actual fpa or whatnot right? Hmm... I didnt consider that.

My thought was that it would seperate my content from the paysites even more if I gave a few softcore samples on the niche pages (enticing but nothing to get off over). It was really just an afterthought but like you said, it will be interresting to see what, if anything, a ll owner would have to say about it.

Good point anyways and something I think I will have to be careful to avoid if / when I do start sending to niche pages. I think I wouldnt be able to have ads that say "more free teen porn... " though. I believe that was your point right?

Thanks
WB

For me personally, and I think you'll find most of the other owners here, you can send the 3 links per page to whatever you want within reason, and your own hub/LL/landing page would fall under that category.

LL owners are looking for content above anything else, contrary to some opinions.

You have a point with the 'more free teen porn' - if you're sending to a teen-specific hub/LL page with links to teen freesites/galleries then that'd be fine (with me anyhow) but if you're sending to a landing page with a choice of teen sponsors, then something like 'handpicked teen sites' or something would be better.

I like the way you're thinking, Jel.
For a minute I thought I had some input on this subject but I'll leave it to the linklist owners.

Dagwolf - please feel free to say whatever is on your mind. Id like opinions from reviewers AND submitters. I think the landing page is a good idea in theory but theories dont pay the bills. Any input is appreciated and Im sure I wont be the only person that benefits from the replies, opinions and insights.
