Good morning world

Dark skies and lots of thunder most of the morning down here. Nothing actually falling from the sky yet, but since I did my running around yesterday it doesn't matter much.

In the spirit of sharing how bad we're feeling, I'll tell you that it was either bad milk, bad ham or bad macaroni salad. Not sure which, since they all look fine and the sandwich wasn't that long after the bowl of cereal yesterday.

Everything was tasty, but about an hour and a half after sandwich time, my stomach starting rumbling in one of those "get up and get to the bathroom now!" kind of ways. For the next few hours I was surprised there was no hot wax streaming out of my ears. I say that because every other orifice of my body was expelling one thing or another.

Then it was over. Not even one moment when I thought it might be back. Nope, just a few hours of wretched contortions and then all better.

Fuck... I'm not sure what I'll have for lunch today.

You know those racks/bins/tables supermarkets have for selling food close to it's sell by date, at half price? Well not surprisingly those displays in British supermarkets are filled with boxes and boxes of World Cup souvenirs printed with the English flag, now being sold at half price, or less. Then yesterday I saw a news report that UK customs had caught smugglers trying to get thousands of fake England football shirts into the country. If you are going to risk prison by trying to smuggle contraband into a country, why would choose a product that no one wants and that you have no chance of selling?????
