Where do you send traffic a program won't take?
Here's what I mean in more specific terms...
I was looking around in a webmaster admin area and noticed that the sponsor says that since they don't accept traffic from some blocked countries, a webmaster can enter a url where they want the traffic from the blocked countries to be sent. Maybe we can make a list here of good places where someone could send that traffic? Or even funny places for that matter. Anyone want to start?

I would probably dump it on a FPA for something or my LL or a blog.

Homegrown Video gets inspired
Does it specify only one domain? That would be cool if it offered a rotation of domains so you could easily test what worked best.
then of course some sort of geo-targetting to deal with the fluctuations of traffic from xyz foriegn countries... (light bulb goes off....) |

If you want to do this and they only specify one domain, send it to one of your own, then use Perl or PHP to send it to a variety of sites (and to count the outs to each one). You could also do your own GEO testing that way. In fact even if they allow multiple domains it is still a hell of a lot better to do it this way because you will have better tracking and stats if you run this on your own site.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions so far.
What I'm mostly interested in are suggestions for actual places to send traffic that a sponsor won't accept. I could send them all to Fonz and see how he likes having an immigrant ghetto who can't pay for anything in Fonztown. I know that I can rotate through a variety of places by pointing the link to my own page and redirecting from there, but my question is still "what would you do with traffic from those countries that won't be accepted by paysites/billing companies, etc?" I'm guessing that the traffic from those same countries may be useless to many other sponsors too. I mean traffic from countries with no way to buy porn, or countries where the scam ratios are too high, or for a variety of other reasons. So sending that traffic back into my own sites doesn't seem like the best idea if my sites are only going to wind up sending those surfers out to another sponsor who won't convert the traffic due to their own list of rejected countries. I got one suggestion in private to send those surfers to some Toplists sites where the incoming hits will be counted and help raise my links or banners to the top of the Toplists. I'm not sure I'd like that if I was the owner of the Toplist, but evidently more than a few people do exactly this with their less-desirable surfers. So I'm still looking for feedback and ideas on where the undesirable surfers could be sent that will do some good, instead of feeding them back into the network and sending them off to another sponsor who doesn't want them either. Ideas..? .

However, although I have never tried dumping shit traffic on a toplist, way back when I tried some geo IP testing I found that toplists send a lot of Russian/Chinese/ETC clicks, so a lot of people must be doing this. |

Maybe do some research on those countries. Maybe that country has a popular doohickey gadget that will sell.
Some foreign adult programs might have a need for that traffic. Foreign dating programs ?? Meet your next fuck date in grass hut #10b lol Maybe you can send it to PPC programs or ad networks that will accept it.

I have considered simply banning the countries where porn is illegal or where fraud is so high the charge backs don't warrant the traffic.
If you consider these people are looking for porn but can't buy it because of their countries laws or govt filters, you have to accept the fact that they are not going to want to see something such as a tshirt site if you redirect them and they will simply go elsewhere anyway in their continuing search. That said there seems no point in having their traffic waste your resources if they do make it to your sites. I just haven't had time to put together a list of all of the countries I may consider banning to see if such a consideration is even viable. |
