No matter how good you are at something, there's always about a million people better than you

Has anyone ever used an outsourcing company?
If so, who did you use?
Did you get what you paid for, meaning where you happy with there services and design work? Where looking to oursource the building of galleries as it's very time consuming and we have tons to build. Any positive or negative experiences would be great. If you have a company that you think is the best for this please let me know. Not sure which one to use, or if it's worth it Any feedback would be great. Thank you, |

WHO IS FONZY!?! Don't they teach you anything at school?
|
Yes, I have used webmasterlabor some time back for cleaning and editing a whole lot of images for design. Price was great and they did the work right on schedule. Hope that helps.

Try Rentacoder for outsourcing.

Sorry I had to move this thread, but it's gonna turn into a fest as soon as Board Tracker gets a hold of it.
Personally, I'd only use ones that were US based & would never touch one that had the word "outsourcing" in their name, but that's only based on the morons that spam the boards & get banned (and oddly enough, I have an side project that does "outsourcing" but I'd never use that term in describing it) |

We have had an 'outsourced' designer on staff for the past 15 months. The arrangement seems very good for both of us. I'm with GreenGuy though; to me he's just an employee whom I don't need to pay employment taxes on. I don't care where he lives, the internet is global. The fact that he's in the Philippines is only a plus due to each country's individual economies. I get a great deal, and he lives like a king on what I pay him. I would however recommend that you work with and pay the employee directly, rather than use an agency, so that you are certain they are fairly compensated for their efforts, and not working in a sweatshop atmosphere.

Let me clarify my "US based" statement - if I was going to look into a company that I did not know of or didn't know someone that worked there, it'd be a US based company.
But I do have independent contractors that I pay monthly that live in Australia & Canada & if I was looking to get something done & let's say Fonz could do it for me, I'd have no problem hiring him for the task. |
