Can I use a flash banner?
Is it acceptable to have a flash banner/ad on my freesite, if that flash banner/ad has one outgoing link (like a normal banner)? I could make some really nice stuff in flash that is way under the size of alot of banners I see these days, and it looks alot nicer then a gif. some neat text effects
I dont really see a problem personally as long as it conforms with the rules a normal banner would have to conform to, but I want to make sure and ask before I submit!

I've had a site declined for it before. It was just basic warning text.

I don't see any problem in it as long as you still conform to their standard rules of how many banners are allowable on Free Gallery sites (among others). To me, a banner is a banner regardless whether it's dynamic, static, flash, text, or image based.

Flash banners do not show the url that the surfer will be taken to when you mouse over them.

neticule,
One of the other reasons from what I understand is that you can embed evil things into the files. Damn shame people have to abuse a good thing. |
