You know, I'm reading all this legal crap mumbo jumbo and thinking, this whole thing has become truly out of hand. By whole thing I mean our govt. and it's assinine ways.

What ever happened to this:


"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,–That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. The Declaration of Independence goes on the list the transgressions of the then King of England against the colonies and declares that, because of these, they are a self-declared free self-governing country and if King George doest like it to come kick their asses.

They were rebels, accused of treason, etc, and fought to the death for what they believed in.

And now look at what we, their legacy, have become. And by we, I mean the elected officials in govt. Seperation of church and state is gone. Personal liberties have slowly been taken away, almost without our registering it. We have become the parents of our neighbors children. Our brave soldiers are fighting and dying in a war brought on because our President has a father complex.

I am truly disgusted and taken aback at the sorry situation in the US today. And I love my country very much. I guess that's why it hurts so damned much.

Yeah what made me laugh to myself was when it was said today we went to war in Iraq because of 9/11 what kinda bullshit is that first was WMD thats nt there now there is another excuse Wish they could maeke up our minds HAHAH

Hey Folks - I don't want to be an alarmist, but this is EXACTLY how FACISM starts...

My wife and I are seriously considering moving to a country with REAL FREEDOM -like Canada.

Sorry to say, but this country isn't worth fighting for anymore

Like really, because the pen you use was made somewhere else or your hard drive or who knows what, they can upsurp the states rights to make their own laws in areas that the feds have no constitution rights. BS

It's the marijuana case that's disturbing. IMO the federal gov't CLEARLY overstepped its bounds on this one. I'm flabbergasted that the Supreme Court ruled the way it did. (I'm even more flabbergasted that I found myself agreeing with Clarence Thomas, who dissented on the court's opinion.)

As far as CP goes, I don't care if it's a jaywalking bust that gets the fuckers tossed...but we still must be wary.
