Marquee On Free Site
I saw in another thread that a link list owner either rejects or doesn't like to see marquee's and blinking text on pages. Anyone around that rejects sites for having marquee's or blinking text on a page?

I wouldn't say I'd universally reject all sites using these. I'd have to decide site by site I think. As a free site builder myself, it would be nice to have some blinking text used in moderation on some sites but unfortunately I think some might go overboard.

Ladydesigner said it, "in moderation". I look at the total noise/content ratio, but I seldom reject a site because it's too flashy. I might send the submitter a polite note if my eyes start hurting.

I'd have to see it & I think it'd be on a case by case basis.

I was thinking, what would you use to create this marquee? It isn't just html anymore, is it?

I have actually seen the marquee tag used before and I believe I approved it because it was from a quality submitter and it wasn't overboard.
And I can think of at least one LL who has a marquee written into their recips, so the tag is not banned altogether. |

I also have 1 or 2 quality submitters that get approved who use scrolling text because they dont go overboard. |
