Of the amount, Dubeau has decided to invest $30 million for a year, leaving him just more than $11,000 to play around with.
Although Dubeau says he wants to create a foundation to support his brother's missionary work in Africa, the brother and two sisters may not be as fortunate. "I don't think so," Dubeau replied when asked if he would give them money. "I have no idea. I don't think so. In the short term, I don't think so. I am the only winner." Asked the same question later, Dubeau replied: "Usually I'm pretty generous. It's quite possible but everything will depend on my plans." Since he will give a lot to 1 brother, but not the other siblings it sounds like there's something we don't know about. |

Without knowing his relationship with his family, how would I know? He may be a very nice person and his siblings could be complete cocksuckers. He plans on helping his one brother, so it's very possible that the others are just scum. It happens.

We don't know the whole story.
He is willing to invest his money into a foundation, assumably for good causes; So that implies he is smart, and he is generous, at least on some level. Maybe his sister doesn't need his charity. Or maybe he has already disowned his sister for some other valid reason. In any event, it's his money, and if he were to give money away like that what would keep people from constantly coming back to him for more? edit: yeah, what UW says too.

I'd slide a couple of million to my sister and my wife's family but that's me. I'd probably pay off the mortgage of a couple of close friends but I wouldn't give them any cash.
That's me. These are all people that have been good to me and would probably do the same for me. We have no idea about his relationship with his family. Maybe he fell on hard times and his siblings shunned him or maybe he's not even on the Christmas card list. We have no right to judge others in this way. |

No kidding... Buddy Christ seems to let lottery winners sprout all over the place here.
OK granted, you guys do have a point. Maybe his sister is the fuck up and he deserves the $$$.

Took the hint.

Remember too: the 30 million is tax free (we don't pay withholding taxes on lottery winnings in Canada) so he will have all the money net. If he invests all of it and takes a net 5% return on it, he will have well over a million dollars a year for life to play with.
He is an accountant by trade, and he seems very very tight ass about everything. He is just being very, very cheap. Alex |

Honestly, if I won any substantial lottery, I'd find it very difficult to not give some to my family - even that cocksucking born again fucktard brother-in-law of mine. But again, I'd also make them sign a contract demanding that they never initiate contact with me again.

Yea, who knows what the dynamics are of that family.
Myself, there are a few mortgages I'd be paying off for friends and family. And most likely some fairly chubby checks to a few family members. And of course, a lifetime supply of 'Cocksucker' tshirts for UW |
