After a 2 year hiatus I'm getting back into the adult webmaster biz. I realize it's a lot harder now with advent of tube porn and the economy. I used to run a tgp and submitted galleries and free sites. I want to start over fresh and expand into other areas. Has anyone had any success with mobile? Looks like an area that's really starting to emerge.

Most will answer no. There's some money to be made on the few that answer yes, bu I don't see it being a cash cow.

The money in mobile is all about apps. I haven't seen a must have mobile porn app yet.

I think one huge advantage to mobile porn versus magazine, computer generated or standard video -- you can take it almost anywhere you want and enjoy your privacy plus you don't have to remember to remove the disc from the DVD player or pack the magazines AND, no embarrassment going through security checkpoints. If you have a signal, you can have porn. My cell gets signals in areas I can't connect to a wi-fi on my laptop. I don't think I am the only one with such a predicament.

I won't put a whole lot into it because most of the paysites will make the switch to mobile for my surfers, but... I have built and do accept mobile freesites (narrow format) over on Hot N Dirty Babes. I think it is another option that we should be offering our visitors.

I personally don't see mobile apps as the way to go. Especially with Apple and Android both banning adult apps.

Mobile porn is accessed via the smartphone's web browser just like it is done on the computer and has the added benefits that Pagan posted.

Where does the iPad and all it's copycats fit in? Is it considered a mobile device? I see huge potential there.

It's a giant iPhone that doesn't make phone calls. Lol

I bought an iPad for Christy as a Xmas present since she wanted one for use in tutoring her students. We watched a couple of Netflix movies on it and it's pretty awesome for watching movies or reading books. So much so that I can see me getting one in the future.

Anything that plays on the iPhone or iTouch plays great on it. So no JAVA, Flash, MPG or WMV. Also you really don't want to force a typical mobile site on it as the screen resolution is more like a netbook than a smartphone. Given a choice of a mobile or full website the full website would be the preferred choice although one made just for the iPad would be even better.

Our mobile sites convert good so It has to be some market for It. Also if you're getting back in teh game I'd recommend doing blogs.

My friend is a trucker, on the road more then he is with his wife and he and all of his friends have no interest in porn on their phones. He said they either get a room or have laptops or portable dvd players and watch porn that way.

Personally, Ive tried mobile and even porn for the psp and have had very little success at it.
