An Ice Covered Sunday ... (2013-12-22)
We had an entire evening of freezing rainy which means that everything outside is covered with a thin layer of ice.
The power, cable / internet went out last night. The power came back on during the night but the cable and internet are still out. I am using the hotspot on my phone to write this. I'll post a pic later of the outside when I have my high speed back. Nothing much going on today. I would say I am almost over the flu but my daughter is now sick. My wife on I are going to an Xmas open house today but that is about it. Have a good one! Last edited by ArtWilliams; 2013-12-22 at 09:52 AM.. |

No ice here unless I look in our freezer. Actually we had to turn the A/C back on two days ago. It's looking to be a hot and muggy Christmas this year.
Last night our neighbor from across the street invited us over. We've been neighbors for about fifteen years now and remember when her children were just children. Her daughter is now 25 and her mom talked us into going out clubbing with her daughter so we all ended up at a lesbian bar a few miles from us. Didn't get home until close to 3 this morning. Now I remember why I don't usually drink. Doing a bit of house cleaning today plus some other errands. |

Morning!
I've been up since around 5:30 due to the Fairy, but I feel like I've got little or nothing accomplished I did go thru my Fantasy Football & Hockey stuff - plus I ran to 7-11 to get The Bitch a couple of Slurpees for the day...who knows. One thing I do know is that my back is KILLING me due to too much activity yesterday. Who knew making Xmas cookies could be so stressful on one back! Oh well, it's almost time for some football |

No ice for us here in IA. About 7-8 inches of fresh white snow and my fuckin snowblower wont start. With my back probs I am not shoveling snow. Looks like a couple kids have a chore to do lol.
Our oldest son is in GA in the military and it is 80F there. He flies home tomorrow. It should be somewhere around -5F to -10F below with 20-30 mph winds when he lands in des moines. That will be a shock to the system for sure. Be good to have him home for the holidays. Haven't seen him since basic training graduation and he hasnt been home since july. Greenie I have done way too much the past week and the back pain is terrible now. I can feel your pain brother . I cant sleep, nap, or anything. My son is coming home for Christmas and that means more to me than anything anyone can buy. If I could have a second thing it would be to figure out something for this back pain. Tired of the meds but it is the only way to function at the moment. There is a lot more I would love to do with my family if my back would work with me. |
