Thanksgiving isn't until Monday. We Canadians don't do Thursday Thanksgiving like the Americans
You French will do anything for an extra day off work (I know you're not French but you live in Montreal) |

I know it's Monday officially (2nd Monday in October), but most families I know who have turkey dinner do it on the Sunday. Don't you guys?

I thought it was an excuse, like Canadians need one, to drink more beer?
To all my friends in Canada...Happy Thanksgiving |

Yeh those Quebec people seem to have a lot of extra holidays. I used to schedule business trips to be in certain places to pick up a few bonus days off in different provinces.
A really nice buddy from the pub used to play tackle for the Argos. Nice to have around when we go to a different bar. |

I think we have one stat holiday here in Quebec that the rest of Canada doesn't get. The 24th of June which is Saint Jean Baptist day.
But due to us getting that, we miss out on the civic holiday in August. So it all works out even.

The wife is going to Calgary to visit her dad, so rather than cook for myself I think I'll have Wild Turkey at the pub this year
