8.3:1 odds they end the season:
  • Without opening the hatch.
  • The raft won't make it to water.
  • Crazy French Lady "Danielle" shoots the PhD highschool teacher we just got introduced to.
  • Walt does something freaky with his psycho-babble powers and we see the Polar Bear in the ending sequence.
  • Finally, we'll all be sitting around impatiently awaiting for season two - knowing full well that this is truly the never ending story...

Hmm...

I'm thinking we'll see the raft hit the water and make its way to sea, and we'll see the beginning of the opening of the hatch. Thus we'll be left to wait through a long, hot summer of Big Brother live feeds (not me, of course; I would never waste my time and money on such an insanely fun and addictive - I mean stupid and wasteful - activity) wondering: What will happen to the raft? What's in the hatch? How will they save Picard from the Borg?

And the bigger question: Will we get an actual FULL SEASON next year?

(Wonder if I can get away with free feeds for two months again...)

So. Wouldn't LOST live feeds be cool?

10:25 pm - Sawyer is making Kate a friendship bracelet from vines and some beads he stole off some dead chick's necklace. OMG WTF Hurley is totally drunk! He's dancing and singing and OMG I THINK HE'S GETTING NAKED. Oh, crap, we go to BeachCam. I am so sick of the sound of waves. Switching feeds...aw, Charlie and Claire are snuggling. I heart them. But, boring...so...
CaveCam....

Okay, I'm gonna go shoot myself now...

Damn....fucking good show tonight, "The Black Rock" took us by surprise.

What is worse, waiting 7 days to see more, or knowing that in 7 days it's over for a few months?

Both!

Tonight was good - lots of questions "answered", but just enough to whet my appetite for more.

Yeah, the "Black Rock" was a total surprise...and a big, "WTF?"

I am giddy with anticipation for the two hour finale.

Great show. Made me cry when Jin and Sun "re-united". I must leave to save you. He could have stayed and done her.

The black rock was a total let down for me. It was like WTF, you've got to be kidding. But I'm sure it holds some secrets.

Sawyer came clean about Jack's dad. That was cool.

Kate's one mean ass woman. That's why he needs 5 guns.

Did you see previews - it looks like Locke gets dragged through the jungle on some rope or maybe that cable.

The dog going after the boy was touching.

Hurley's note said, I have a 30" waist trapped inside this body.

Kate was looking for Sawyer. How sweet. Yeah right.

The monster has got to eat the science teacher. He's just too annoying already.

Oh and by the way, I want to know who made that French chick's shoes. For being 16 years old, the soles are still in good shape.

The gun Jack gave to Sawyer for the boat will probably be used for a mercy killing. Just my opinion.

And the polar bears are from a plane that crashed earlier.

There's a blip on the radar next week and someone dives down to see what it is.

Shannon/Sayid flashback - luggage thing - he'll find out and hate her.

Next week is a 2-3 hour episode.

Must say it is quite good.

Oh yeah, 24 has been awesome. Watch it next year.

BFF,

Nina

So they came for the BOY - had us thinking it was the baby - cool twist.

Too bad Walt.

Those guys must be the OTHERS. Nasty looking bunch of guys. I thought they were pirates.

How did Locke know Hurley's name was Hugo?

I thought the French gal was gonna kill herself when Charlie called her a nut case.

Walt and Hurley both said don't open the hatch. No one listens to kids and overweight people anymore.

Cool ending - don't know if Sawyer is dead - how will they get back to the island - what is to become of Walt - what's down that hatch.

Until next year....aaaaahhhh

I said LONG ago that it was the kids, and when Danielle said "the boy" we both said "Walt"

I fucking jumped when the teacher "went pieces" lol.... Been YEARS since I jumped like that.

The boat was blown up, but they have pieces to use to float in on, remember "Jaws"?

I loved it. I love the way we are being given pieces of the puzzle, without the whole puzzle being spelled out. I love how they keep turning our presumptions and assumptions head over tails. And I love how the spooky dark shadows of non-answers totally had me jumping out of my chair.

And Arnzt's pre-doom fan shout-out totally rocked.

I think this was the best season finale EVAH. </fangirl>

Dude, I was sitting there watching as Arnzt started his "last words" and he kinda started waving the stick a little and I was about to say "DUDE!" and then FLOOM!

Hurley to Jack: "You've got some Arnzt on you..."

Well...not that I spend any of my precious time at Lost fan sites... *cough* But a lot of people on those sites have complained about the fact that with 40-odd survivors on the island, only a handful get any airtime. (Duh. It's a TV show.)

So when Arnzt was going off at Hurley about "your merry band of adventurers" (or whatever it was) and asking questions such as why does Kate get the best pieces of wreckage for her shelter; why doesn't "the Korean guy" catch fish for everybody, etc - I took it as a total shout-out to the grousing fans on various boards.

There have also been a lot of complaints about how Arnzt just came out of nowhere to become a semi-major character. So, for the writers to have him address all those complaints in such a hilariously expository way - then promptly, um, explode - struck me as wonderfully fan-conscious, "meta" writing.

Hey - at least I don't do any more than lurk at those fan sites. OKAY?

BTW, for those who did not see the good Morning America that had the "cut scene" you didn’t miss much.

Just Clair and Charlie on the beach talking about Danielle and how crazy she was, (showing how crazy she was by having her eat a raw egg) Clair told Charlie she knew the others would come back for her baby and that is why she didn’t name him yet....

Nothing real earth breaking... thankfully the DVR let me FF past all the GMA crap to get to it.

A raw egg? That is so not crazy. Those unhatched baby ducks they ate on Survivor this season - only thing ever on reality TV that made me have to look away. So Danielle is moderately less crazy than most of this year's Survivor contestants. Don't know if that's good or bad.

That’s my point; they made a big thing out of her eating a raw egg..... Who cares? They are on a freaking island and fighting for survival.
