Question Best Platform to start out with

I've got Wordpress up an running, and it seems like every blogger is using it these days. Easy install, nice simple, lots of customization.

I'm looking at Blog Organizer. There's no free trial, only an online demo, but it looks interesting. I don't mind spending the money if it's worth it. But I love WP and the easy way you can change the presentation. The RSS feed plugins leave a lot to be desired, however.

For RSS, Blog Automater looks great. I have the demo running, and it hooks up nice with WP and I love the way it handles RSS feeds. I am thinking that with Blog Organizer it wouldn't be as important since (I think) BO handles RSS much better than Wordpress. So if I stay with WP, BA looks like a much needed add-on. If I go with BO...well, I'm not so sure.

I've pretty much ruled out other options, but if I am missing something, please give me a heads up. It comes down to Wordpress vs BO for creating the blog since I certainly do not want to deal with two platforms

So, what would you do if you were starting out?

WP with free rss plugin(s) (free)

BO $143.00

WP + BA $177.00 (this is what I am leaning toward now)

BO + BA $320.00

I have both BO and BA but every one of my blogs is a WP blog.

I use BO for my hand written blogs so that when I'm in a creative mood I can write numerous posts and schedule them to be posted.

Obviously, I use BA to handle RSS Feeds.

I stay with the WP platform because of a couple of factors:
tons of available templates
tons of available plug-ins
familiarity
lots of on-line help

WP and BA is the perfect combo IMO. WP is free and has tons of designs and useful plugins available. BA makes it a breeze to populate any number of blogs on autopilot from a central location.

While I also have BO and it does its job well, I really don't see myself using it much after I got BA.

In my never to be humble opinion your wasting your time and will never be happy without BA if your planning on parsing a lot of feeds.
I use both BA and BO
BO parses feeds better than any of the WP plugins, some of my blogs are Bo only.
It's nice being able to run everything from one spot and BO has nice built in Stats
BO draw backs are lack of templates and plugins

Hey thanks folks...looks like it will be WP. I'm using the free trial of BA right now, and will probably end up purchasing it. The blogging thing looks like a lot of fun...I can see myself getting into it.
