The last Monday of fucking 2013 and looking forward to 2014
Just got back from going to the gym way too early. I feel a nap in my future.
Nothing exciting going on in my life. Slept in until noon yesterday and then ran errands and did some house cleaning. Just a day of work planned for today. |

Good morning!
Moving kind of slow today for someone who got 8 hours sleep last night. Was it the three cheeseburgers I ate for dinner? Just doing some planning today. You know, to do lists, deciding what's important, getting some little things done. My wife and daughter are away until tomorrow so I guess I will whip up some bacon sandwiches in the nude. Have a great day! |

Good Morning
Bunch of work today with a quick run to the post office to mail the last of 2013 bills, not really due until 1st week of next month but this is when I usually pay them. Found out a sponsor changed from ccbill to nats back in March. Was able to get in and they are at least still tracking the old code, of course ratios have plummeted since the change and now money is waiting to reach minimum payout instead of being in my pocket |

Morning. Had a blast yesterday. Can't believe all the chips fell into place to allow for the Chargers to make the playoffs. Going into the game with it actually meaning something and then with a little luck the Chargers got it done.
Now I'm recovering a little and handling a couple small things. Look forward to closing out this year and moving on to 2014. Have a good one everyone. |

Only 9 days since the winter solstice and already I notice that it is getting darker later.
What I cannot understand is that since the days started lengthening on the 21st then why is it getting dark later than it was getting dark 9 days before the solstice? Surely the "night" should start tonight (30th) at the same time as it did on the 12th? But it is earlier! ~~~ For those of you wondering why/how I am noticing the change when it is still only about 10 minutes: I regularly walk a friend's dog as he works during the day and I need the exercise. I tend to let the dog decide what length the walk, because being a husky he needs about three hours a day, but being about 13 years old, sometimes he is not up to it. So normally we turn for home when the dog turns for home. (Or if he realises he has overstretched himself he will head to the nearest station and expect me to take him home by train!) When he is feeling exceptionally well, he will try for a longer walk than usual, which is fine in the summer, but his owner likes him back before dark and so in the winter I am constantly juggling walk time with the time it gets dark. So I tend to notice the exact time it gets dark. |
