In essence, there were amateur user uploaded CP along with rape videos found on PornHub. Although they have since changed to verified user uploads only, Visa and Mastercard have both pulled the plug. The jury is still out on what this means to everyone else. Get those 2257s in order...

There's also a new article on the NYTimes by the same writer of the PH article, a Mr. Kristof. Next up on the block is xvideos and xnnx.

The industry needs to address the fact we are going into 2021 and some business practices MUST BE STOPPED. Its a new world We are no longer at 42 & Broadway in the 70s.

Clean up if you need to or find new jobs is my advice. I believe it is fixable but not if people continue down the same path.

It really just makes sense to take upload access away from the amateurs and wanna-bes. The studios and pay site owners certainly should be able to upload their clips, along with the cam girls/models. I will guarantee that no legit producer uploaded the clips in question. Maybe this is the end of the tube as most know it.

User uploads has been issue for a decade, it's about time something is being down to stop them. Hopefully the other tubes follow suit.

However, this would be Very Bad for the industry if MC and Visa decide to look closer at adult in general.

Normal paysites would be fine. But any site that allows unverified users to upload whatever the fuck they want will be hurt.

That's the hope yes, leave normal paysites alone. I suspect ALL tubes will be scrutinize and are likely scrambling to make changes too if they have Premium sections. I know xVideos and xHamster does. Also note that Mindgeek redirected 3 of their other tubes to YouPorn.

From what I have read, they targeting are the big powerhouse tubes because:
1. they fucking deserve it
2. a couple of anti-porn groups finally found they could put pressure on them due to illegal and questionable content.

They can no longer hide behind "some random dude uploaded it" and "we're too big to possibly know what has been uploaded."

I can't see normal paysites with produced content having a thing to worry about, but the anti-porn groups are definitely fighting against content that is either real or fake r*pe, CP, or the real use of force.

This goes way beyond a couple of anti-porn groups. There are well-funded NGOs around the world all working to protect women from abuse, revenge and rape. Many of the NGOs are focused on porn sites because some sites allow it to thrive.

I've posted about what is going on in Japan. That was phase 1. And still on-going. I hope western companies will comply or they will have to face being shut down and arrested. Like in Japan.

My thought as well.

I'm astounded at some of the people coming to PH's defense on this. They effectively killed a large portion of the industry.

I believe so too, but 40 of the models have created a class action suit against PornHub for allowing the GDP content to be repeatedly uploaded.

From what I understand models in Asia are considering the same steps as the GDP girls. Regs and laws are tougher in Asia.

I think this guy is going to have a miserable 2021. Shit happens.
