Happy 4th of July!
Dates like this are great for reminders & lessons of what started this country and leads us to where we are today. For those who are not familiar with the little document that started it all, here is a transcript of it : Declaration of Independence |

Happy blow things up day.
Been up since 5am for some odd reason. My sleep cycle seems to be totally fucked lately. Just two more days of make me sick to make me better antibiotics to go. Actually I kind of feel better that I'm not the only one that has gotten this bazaar stomach flu like whatever it was sickness. Luna, Angel, and a bunch of others that I know have had the same symptoms but I'm the only one that ended up with a gum infection from two days of puking. I'm in day three of cleaning up my link list with at least another week to go. I'm so annoyed at the stuff that I'm finding. Lots of people have pulled all images and just left their pages up. I'm deleting all of their stuff and adding their domains to my ban list. I'm so glad that I'm partner only these days as just about all the crap is from when I wasn't. Probably going to try to get away from the computer for a bit today as I've been putting in insane long days and I'm getting really burnt out not to mention my eyes feel like hair has grown on them. Been using rsync to create a mirror of FoxyAngel to a FireWire drive. Since I wanted to backup to a case sensitive volume I first created a sparseimage that I then mounted and I'm baking up to it. Her stuff is a bit under 20 gigs so I'm going to run it each night until it's done. Also since I wanted to monitor its progress while I'm working without having its window totally block my view I finally found a use for transparency in the terminal window. Espresso and oatmeal is on. |

Happy Hot As Hell Day!
Today I wish I had an AC. I'll take a cold shower instead and head out and work tonight instead. If the weather stays like this I'll rent a car on wednesday and head up north with a friend and go fishing for couple of days. I haven't fished in such a long time. Stay safe and don't blow anything up with the fireworks |

Happy 4th of July.
They say the corn is supposed to be knee high by the 4th of July. But, yesterday, the farmers let us know that it is waste high....woohoo, early corn this year |

Happy 4th folks. Any chance you Brit's will take us back if we apoligize about that little tea thing? Honest, we didn't know it meant so much to you.
I spent yesterday afternoon on my friends boat on Saratoga lake, came home, had dinner, became a vegetable on the couch and decided to go to bed really early. Woke up at 3:30, stared at the tv for a couple of hours before returning to bed. Now, I'm awake again, having my first cup of joe and feeling pretty friggin' good. I love the porn life.

morning from disco inferno land..
most of the fires are out but i'm sure more will start tonight.. my 2 lovingly planted japanese maples are dead.. could be because the lady i sold my house to didn't water them for the 7 years i've been gone from here. since last thursday we've had someone 'trimming' the front one and removing the 2nd.. well 5 days later and yes its vegas so they are working today.. they have removed the wrong tree, despite the fact that i said like 27 times.. they are removing the wrong tree.. and right now outside my window are 2 sweaty rednecks in wife beaters, 1 non english speaking person of hispanic origin. Guess they don't speak NYese. and a huge ass pile of twigs, branches limbs and stumps..did i mention dry twigs, branches, limbs and stumps? 1 little flick of a sparkler and whooosh.. i'll have fried fat thighs.. oh wait.. happy fricking 4th. |

Happy 4th to everyone - in the same boat as Cleo here - Ive removed about 50% of the links Ive checked in the last three days - due to js scripts installing all kinds of nasties on the gallery pages - to people putting up some stupid tshirt graphic for all the pics on their galleries/banners - a heck of a lot of "prior" trusted WMs too
UW - that whole Boston Tea Party thing is blown way out of proportion by history teachers in the US - it really had very little to do with Independence - as a matter of fact Concorde, Bunker Hill etc were a lot more influincing in the declaration - and to get the public sympathy it took a little book by Thomas Paine called Common Sense (still a worthwhile read BTW) to get the masses of colonists to support doing anything in a Continental congress. Unfortunately our children in the US get taught a lot of little Mis-facts like that one and "columbus declaring the world was round lies" etc every day because even the teachers dont study history - they just teach what they are told by the school boards to do - and usually most of its wrong - its a damn shame that very few Americans can tell you about the Stamp Act(which was the origination of taxation without representation) - but most can tell you about a harbor full of Darjeeling - which had nothing to do with taxes |
