Trillian has been orphaning added contacts for ICQ for some time, and adding duplicate orphaned entries as well. It is isolated to ICQ, the other messengers within Trillian are working fine for me.

I have had the same problem. I have had several people add me to their lists recently and when I try to add them I get the same error message. But just goes with what I have said for years, ICQ SUCKS!
I am amazed at how much business takes place with this less then reliable program
