WP-o-Matic - RSS Feeds

Hey all you WP-o-Matic users... I've been scouring the net today but can't find what I'm looking for. Can anyone shed any light on how to use the Custom Template section?

Most of the RSS feeds I am getting from sponsors are set up in such a way that the "Content" includes a thumbnail of some description + the long text content. Is there a way to extract the image from the content, so that it can be incorporated in to a custom template?

Any info would be great. Thanks
