how often do you update your linklist?
mine is still being built, but i figured i would start out with daily updates until i have enough freesites and then maybe pac it out to every like 3 days or so, what method do you find the best?

There's Xanax in my thurible!

Mine = Daily
Best method (IMO) = Daily If you're new, it's the one thing you have over big lists that have long queues. Once you get reviewing down it will also speed up the process and it won't be such a chore. |

I agree with Preacher. I usually do mine around midnight every night. Doing 3 or 4 days worth at once sounds too much like work for me Also it keeps it fresh for bookmarkers.

When I started out, I was updating every Friday. I think I went to M-W-F after that & then daily.
I do pride myself on getting current every day (anything submitted before Midnight EST the day before gets reviewed & listed the next day) The only exception to the rule is Sunday's, as lately there's not enough submits on Sat & Sun to justify getting current & updating, so Sunday is a blow-off day & Monday is Sat & Sun's submits (if that makes sense) Go a couple of days & keep track of the number of links you're approved & then base when you're going to update on those numbers. |

I update my sites daily in the morning when I wake up. Itīs important to get a good routine and I find this being the best way for me.

Several times a day here too. I have my script set so that I get an email everytime I get a new submission, everytime I see a new submit I go in and review it.

I update pretty much when I feel like it.
I have the goal of doing it daily, but it's not really justifiable that I should have to stop watching tv or tugging on myself just to review a few links here or there. The only reason to update daily on a new or smaller link list is to keep your 4 regular submitters happy. Admittedly, once you fall behind, it is very difficult to motivate yourself to catch up. FilthyEarl has been months and months behind for probably about a year now, but it's so damned hard to review more than a few days of that queue in one sitting. I'm sure his 6 submitters are very angry at me.

I just remembered that I also have Porn Movie Links, which is getting 20-40 submits a day. So, depending on how many I accept (which is hovering around 50% for some unknown reason) I'll update that one every other day or every 3 days.
If you separate the new links page like I do on LOR, I'd not suggest updating daily until you get to the point where you have a decent number of new links to add each day (20-30?) But if it's just a big list, you can get away with updating every day - even if you only add 1 new site & the time stamp for the last update time is changed |

Don't get discouraged; it's usually the last key that opens the lock...
|
When I first started I didn't have enough submits to review daily. I remember asking this same question, and GreenGuy told me to start once a week. Then as you get more and more submits, you will review more and more. Eventually, you should be reviewing daily if not several times a day. My reviewer reviews 7 days a week, and I poke my head in the queue from time to time.

I update daily, sometimes multiple times per day. I usually miss a day or two per week just because I have other things going on.
