Skippy, How long have you been working online?

What I am asking is, what year was it when you first actually made some money from the adult business online?

It was in the nineties, like around 97 or 98 but I didn't start making decent money until the 21st century.

I started mid 2000, so I think it was end of 2000. At the same time I moved back to Sweden, so that whole time was just a big mess

Ditto.

I still remember the day that I realized I was making more online than from my full time job.

Earning money through working in/with the adult industry doing programming/hosting, since 96...

I started a small free site in early 1999, it kept crashing due to "word of mouth". I was a paysite by the end of 1999. Money came pouring in, and I thought I was going to be a millionaire.....well ... I'm not, but I am making more money than I would have ever dreamed possible by having a stand alone website.

heheh.. 1998 here. I think my first check was from FlashCash, and so was my most recent. I was also a phone sex operator with a website back then, so I made a nice little bundle. Heheh.. and as a laugh, I sent my better customers original short stories. I was doing 18-20 hour days easily back then. I have always made a little bit each year - nothing to write home about, though. In 1998, it was a couple hundred. In 1999, I probably made about 5K on the side.

My world changed radically in 1998.. I moved to Denver, telecom waved its magic finger in front of me, and I was soon making more in 2 weeks working fewer hours than I could with the porn business.

I bought my first domain in 2001. Got my first check from Maxcash.

After a couple of failed projects offline, I came back adult fulltime a year ago.

I got started in late 2001. I made few bucks part time while working my career in dentistry. Life changed. I quit my career to work online full time and never looked back.

I'm not so good with dates so had to check on my records. The first check was in 95 or 94. I started as a unix admin hooking an Adult BBS in those days to the new thing the internet. Wasn't much back then. Got lot of knowledge about irc, newsgroups and bit about websites. Also really liked the professionalism of the business. Wasn't my conception of an adult business. There was no broadband connections for regular users only dialup. I worked with a T1 line with the unix box in the office.

Then Company got bought and moved up north. They didn't need me so I sat on the money I made for a year. Built a website and used adultcheck to make money. Made a couple of hundred dollars back then. Continued with it and told a friend about it. We partnered together and bought a colocation site but he lost insterest a year later. I went back to virtual hosting and Freehosting. So I think I'm up to 1997 working with adult freehosts making up to 1000/month. A year or 2 later is when I made some bad decissions and fucked up. Learned from my mistake and Now I'm crawling my way back up again. Sigh. Not in a big rush. Too afraid of making bad mistakes again.

Damn, and here I thaught I was special when I saw "CybrFire, how long have you..."

LOL, I don't feel so special now.

I started doing this in 2003 early in the year and didn't make a dime until six months later. After fucking up several times and correcting my mistakes, then I started to see $$ coming in from all the effort.

I plan on sticking around for along time to come in this business though
