Hi Baxter
I've heard great things about LinkAdmin, but if you are looking for something a little cheaper, take a look at RadScripts.com and phpWebScripts.com - I use scripts from both of those sites and they work really well

LinksSQL - http://www.gossamer-threads.com/ - is my personal preference, and what I use at http://www.dangerdave.com.au/
but if you are looking for "simple ones that can be tweeked" - you cant go past Links2 - also from GT. DD

Amber,
The GT template system, is extremely powerful and yes most pages are based on the template system of LSQL. While it lacks some of the specific components of Richard's or TDavid's script, I believe it is more flexible in its output than most other linklist/se scripts. Additionally being SQL based it allows the user to include other similarly powerful SQL additions/changes and tweaks.. eg: my blacklist script removes unwanted submissions without me ever seeing them, based on criteria I set within SQL/DB rules The use of <if>/<elseif> statements in the templates is a godsend. USeful scripts is designed for managing submissions and so forth and from what I understand it's tops. If you're looking at just managing your own links and links from a few trusted folks then Gossamer might be a great way to go. It's pretty flexible.
After spending about 2 weeks with TDs script I finally tossed it out and had Gossamer installed, configurred and running smoothly in day. I would highly recommend Richard's or Gossamer. |
