Any recommendations for cheap NON-ADULT hosting?
For a private site I'm looking to get a cheap (and I'm talking real cheap: $1.95 - $4.95/month) hosting...
· I'm willing to pay 12 months in advance (if the provider's reputation is o.k. and they don't run away with my $s) · I need max. 10 gigs/month, a little less might be o.k., too · roll-over bandwidth would be nice (where un-used bw is credited for use the next month) · storage shouldn't be an issue, because all you do with too much storage is too many too large files, which costs too much bandwidth · script support (MySql + PHP) required Any suggestions/links? Cheers

I have been using ipowerweb.com for a few years now and have never had a problem. I just noticed that the price is 7.95 a month but like I said I have never had any problems with them. I have tried others in the price range you are looking for and my site was down more often than not.. and email was even worse. You can also check out zosee.com. I have used them as well. They have a lifetime plan if you are willing to dish out the bucks (lol) But again this is not in the range you are looking for... but figured I would post my two cents about those because I use or have used them AND ipowerweb also has a site called ipower.com where they have a 3.95 package that may interest you.
You may also want to check out godaddy's 3.95 plan. I have a friend that uses that one. (godaddy.com). Good luck! |

Thanks for the suggestions so far
Though: with the ones attached to an affiliate code I'm usually a little suspicious... I have done a little more research of my own and have come up with 2 companies which sound not too bad: · Routhost: their package would suite me fine [they seem to be resellers of ev1servers, whos packages are too large for my needs]. · HostExcellence: again a plan which would fit nicely. Anybody here who knows them, or even better, has experience with either?
